No but really just play it, i hesitated so long in getting the game because i didn't know if the top view strategy gameplay would be for me, but it's so so so so much fun. Charming characters and incredible world.

I absolutely adored this game, and im definitely gonna go back to it in the future.
I don't like to compare but this really felt like a perfect mix between mario galaxy and wind waker, if you like platformers it'd be a shame to not play it.

This was my introduction to the series but the characters were all super likeable (I also tried talking to every single NPC i encountered), the chara design in general is stellar and the music???? All bangers.
World felt full and alive, didnt ever feel like I was repeating mindless tasks and I especially liked mint's challenges.
My only nitpick would be that sometimes beebz really would blend in with the scenery, and the overall lighting and colors would made it hard to see or distinguish what was going on.

10/10, also bonus points for the jester and Roc (my beloved)

I am obssessed with this game.

Since i got it I tried limiting myself so I wouldn't finish it too fast but i couldn't help myself because it was SO adictive.
They really NAILED the lovecraftian atmosphere, it's a major part of why i keep coming back to the game and replaying. The slow building of tension, especially at the beginning where you might be too afraid to get out very far from the initial island..
The little pieces of dialogue that make you go????? in the middle of an otherwise normal conversation really make it.
Second good point is the music, man, I never got bored of it, i even listen to it outside of the game when I'm drawing and want to get inspired. The soundtrack is gorgeous and features both really? soothing tunes? for when you're fishing during the day, and the shift to menacing with the sun setting is fantastically executed, that goes for the sound design too.
The scares were good throughout, I liked the creatures, but past some point you get used to them, the abnormalities are way too fun to collect though, highly recommand the game just for those.

The addictivre parts came from updating my ship, i just kept on teling myself "just one more fishing trip so i can get that new rod!" and then you're two headlamps and a motor deep-

I was pleasantly surprised by the side quests you get, there aren't that many and they may not all be epic, but they do have some repercussions on the universe around you and some really made me feel for the characters.
Most of all I was sad when it ended, I wish the game was longer, its perfectly paced and definitely not too short, but i wanted to stay in that universe for longer.

Overall, this is a fantastic fishing game (unironically) and the horrors offer a very nice combo, the main story itself might not be too complex but it was still nice
