This game is not a terrible game like the internet has painted it out to be, but it also far from a good game. Save yourself 30 hours of headache, or even 15 hours, and avoid playing it.

Sonic Frontiers is a game that has set out what I've always dreamed of since I was a young lad. Being able to just go fast at almost any location, just like they show Sonic doing in cutscenes. There's many a time where I've done something in this game, stopped and gone, "A decade ago, I would have only been able to witness these moves. And now here I am playing them"

The game does offer a good variety of play styles aside from running and platforming. Combat, puzzle and exploration are high up on that docket.

The only negative this game has going is challenge zones that are strictly 2-d seem to have broken physics. Sonic is incredibly sluggish, even when at full speed.

If you've ever been intimidated by this series, don't be. It's all in your head. The world is beautiful and fights are really rewarding.

A quick, psuedo mockery of RPGs with unique time manipulation, splitting paths, and multiple modes.

This game may appear on the disturbing side. If you can get past that it's the most fun you can have with a game built around flash. Will you find all the secrets? Will you be an unstopable killing force with the inability to take a hit yourself? Will you block all your foes damage and chip away at them? Only fate (the random generator) will tell.

Don't let to overly typical Japanese look of this game fool you, it is hard. Like, really hard. but yet, there is something that feels familiar about the combat system (almost like 3d legend of zelda games) that let's you know, "you're not doing it right, therefore, you are to blame for your failure. It's extremely fun and needs to be played by those that say "video games are too easy now"

If I had to give it a score, I'd give it a 4.5/5

This is the most fun I've had with a twin stick shooter since Beat Hazard. customizable robots to adapt to your play style, crazy powerful power-ups, co-op both on and offline and there so little story, yet you know exactly what's going on.

This is the critically acclaimed Crazy taxi from approximatly 10 years ago, with all the goodness intact. only thing changed about it is the soundtrack, which has been updated with some more modern hits, only down side to that is they took out the original soundtrack.

but if you like mario kart driving physics with the "Driver" franchise objectives of take person A to site A, rinse and repeat, you'll love this game.

pure fun. if you're thinking if you should get this game or not, just eliminate the "or not" part right now.
