I found ADOM before Steam even existed, before there were other graphic options besides ASCII characters. It's been such an ongoing source of entertainment and fascination. This truly feels to me like the perfect Roguelike game.

This is one of the best platform-shooter MetroidVania-type games I've ever played. Very interesting plot, perfectly suited graphics and sound (both updated for the re-release) and challenging yet fun gameplay (and man, does it get challenging, if you want to try for all the achievements...)

All in all, probably one of my favorite games I've ever played! There's a lot of heart in this one.

"Ohhhhh, now I understand why so many reviewers had logged over 100 hours of gameplay..."

Seriously though, this is the J-est of JRPGs I've yet to play, and so far I'm a big fan. If it didn't have the cute factor going on, I would probably be annoyed with a certain amount of monotony inherent to the gameplay, but...the cute factor. You can put their hair in adorable little bows with strawberries on them. Give me a break! 10/10.

Man, this is a really well-made puzzle game. Great graphics, extremely creative, and a great level of puzzle challenges.

That Ken Gao, he make-a me cry!

Seriously, though, this is the most touching video game I've ever played. Yes, it's short. No, there's not a lot of "gameplay"; most of the playing is just exploring and talking to people with a couple simple puzzles mixed in, but it doesn't need it. It's a beautiful masterpiece of storytelling. Do your heart a favor and play it.
