Ostranauts is a sandbox space sim, if you're a fan of hardcore and unforgiving games like Kenshi or Project Zomboid, you're in for a treat. Compared to other space sims, the focus is also ( And maybe even more ) on your character instead of being only on the ship.

I'm 100+ hours in and I haven't left the starting area, I'm having a lot of fun just by salvaging ships and expanding mine, so i can't tell exactly how much content there's in now beside the ship building part.

It also has its fair share of bugs and some performance issues, but by being at this early stage of development it's understandable, rest assured because the devs are extremely active with updates and bug fixes, and they also engage with the community about feedbacks, suggestions and bug reports.

I'd say to give it a try, considered that there aren't a lot of space sims with features like Ostranauts.

I've played and coded good stuff for 11 hours straight, now in two hours i gotta go to work and code bad stuff.
I'm ashamed that I haven't found before this gem.

10/10 I'd follow the white rabbit again.
