I wish Anthony Burch was my dad

This game's really damn good, but the original team was ousted from the company. So don't purchase it under any circumstance.

Full disclosure: I am aquaintences with the developer and I would touch her butt if she consented to that sort of thing.

lilGunBois is fun in that kind of classic arcade kind of way. It frustrates you into wanting to do better, because you can look at almost any death and say "I screwed up." Since there's only one kind of enemy and they all behave the same, it's simple to nail down how to approach any given level, but like any arcade style game it's the execution that make or breaks you. Also the sound effects are very good and adorable. The only negative criticism I have is that jumping behaves oddly compared most other games. Holding down the jump button will cause you to jump again as soon as you hit the ground which is not great (or maybe I'm just bad at video games and that makes it easier to dodge bullets? I don't know). Also someone should definitely speedrun this game, it's pretty well built for it (Kate you should add an in game clock just syaing).

Anyway, game's good, and I hope Kate makes more games cause she's cool and my friend

This is the best action platformer I have ever played ever.

It's not great. The gameplay is alright. It's basically Muramasa: The Demon Blade with much less combat depth and some finiky platforming, but it's fun (until the final level where every enemy is a huge pain in the ass). The game looks nice but the character art style does tend to clash with the themes the game deals with (which is to say it looks like the Berenstein Bears are talking about Genocide). The theming also clashes with the occasional joke about video games, and overall it's kind of a frustrating experience. But I'd say it's still worth a look because whoever made this game clearly gives a ♥♥♥♥.
