Many options, awesome

Funky rogue-like co-op. Reminds me of Doom Eternal focusing on fun.
Easy to get into. Fast games, great music, and a blast so far.

Solid

TL;DR - Very fun. Kept me busy for about 35h roughly.
Some bugs. Hope they keep working on it. Potentially DLC later.

Mix of Turn based macro (Days for sorting things out) and RTS in-game.
Can slow down the game using space to use abilities, or on easy pause game to decide what to do.

Great mixture of pacing, resource management specifically the tools, medkits, and sentry guns, the upgrading of squads and mechanics so even if something goes wrong it's not the end of the game but instead allows you to stay in it.
Creating your squad is pretty fun.
The bugs can be frustrating (The gameplay ones, not the enemies) but with a patch already out, I'm hopeful they keep working on them. The storyline is fun and engaging. Took an interest in the characters through great writing & cutscenes.
I finished on Nightmare on my 1st playthrough, took me roughly 35h, also played around in Normal after. Normal seems like the run n gun difficulty, not too pressing. Nightmare seems like the Aliens way of playing. It's dangerous, and need to figure out game mechanics to overcome the enemies, but when it clicks it becomes a blast.

Having a marine down, do you leave them behind? Carry them to evac? How about enemies that are coming, can you put down a distraction with mines & sentries? Many different tactical approaches & gameplay mechanics meant I always had a blast.

I'd recommend if you're a fan of the Aliens series, or tactical games like XCOM etc.

Absolute blast with some friends.
Played it with some lads on discord, we're on our 4th playthrough.
Having your personal dude in the story, and being able to voice it is hilarious.

I enjoy this game, but I enjoy it more with mods.
I'd recommend giving a little looksie online to see if this is your cup of tea.
The first playthrough or second will need to be save-scummed to get a grips of this game.
Very painful learning lessons, but when understand enemies & game a lot of fun.

It has variable RNG elements to the macro gameplay as well as the battlefield that keeps the game fresh.
Lots of mods to add more life to it.

Be vikings in a world where critters wanna kill vikings.
Kill things > Chop things down > Build > Kill bigger thing > Chop things down > Mine > Kill Bigger thing > Repeat.
It's fun. Better with friends.
A grind at times. Lots of mods available online to make less grindy

I'm enjoying the game a lot. Playing as a dude with a pet bear as his trusty mount.
Lots of classes & progression.
Lots of choices in the game, as well as evil choices that seem for self-serving rather than just for the sake of it.
I'd recommend it if you like these types of games.
