Early Access Review
ever wonder what it's like to have ptsd, this game simulates that, long periods of silence trying not to get your head blown off followed by complete chaos with enemies shouting, trying to blow your head as soon as they hear you accidentally knock something over while clearing a house or breaching a door. room clearing is straight anxiety, when every enemy is looking at the door you are about to breach and you can't see a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing inside. ai works well but honestly needs a little more work, their behavior is much like a real person, hiding in the shadows and flanking only to unleash a barrage of gunfire that kills your whole team but there have been a couple times where they are non responsive to footsteps behind them, sometimes they don't turn around and they look braindead. physics also need work, lots of falling through floors and clipping through walls only to get accidentally team killed by your teammate spraying his weapon when you randomly pop up in front of them. overall, very fun game and tons of potential but right now it's not worth the $40, there are 4 missions with randomly generated enemies but it gets boring after a couple of hours when you've completed the same missions 10 times. I understand the game is early access so bugs are expected but the amount of content they are offering for $40 is not worth it, gets old pretty quick. the game has huge potential and the first 4 hours were great, can't wait till more content is added, personally I would just wait till more content is added and it goes on sale

I just finished the game and wow... this is some of the best storytelling that I have seen in a long time. There really wasn't any point throughout the story where I felt like it was dragging on. Every transition to the next scene is so fluid and well put together. I can't say much about the game itself without spoilers. That being said, I wish the story was longer. I finished it in about 2 hours. If you're a fan of story-driven games, give this a try. You'll love it.

I really enjoy the old 1930's retro kinda style. It really adds a sort of heartwarming feeling to the whole thing. The art is amazing, the bosses are creative, and it's hard... very hard. You will end up dying a lot, but that's ok because it's lots of fun. I'm 7.2 hours in, and just started Inkwell Isle 2 (there are 3 worlds and a finale). 10/10 in my book. By far the best game I've played this year.
