Who this game is for:
- People who are looking for a relaxed single-player MMO-style game.
- People looking for a loot-driven grindy experience.
- People who are familiar with the basic game loop of WoW, Diablo or Destiny.

Who this game is NOT for:
- People who can't stomach repetition. If you don't like the idea of grinding dungeons for better loot to make your character stronger, you probably won't enjoy this.

PROS:
- Consumer-first approach to monetization. You won't find any predatory practices here.
- Solid combat system. Not the most in-depth, but is fun.
- Satisfying power fantasy. You begin having to actually engage in combat mechanics, but as you develop your build it devolves to mindless ability spam and abusing i-frames.
- Price point. I picked this up on sale for ~$10.

CONS:
- Tutorial doesn't do much to prepare you for what the game is really about. I could see this giving a rough first impression.
- Repetitive dungeon layout. For a game about repeatedly grinding dungeons, it doesn't do much to differentiate runs.
- Inventory management. A common issue in this genre, clearing space is inconvenient.
- Under-baked endgame. Once you complete the main story quest-line, there is not much to do other than grind mythic hunts.

Final Thoughts:
While there is a nice roster of heroes to choose from, I played the game solo crutching on only one of them. There was never a situation where I felt I would need to switch heroes. I am thankful the achievements were easy to get, as I might not have stuck with it as long as I did to get 100%. Overall I don't think the game deserves the negative reviews. It delivers what it needs to while being fair and honest.

THE GOOD:
- Satisfying combat
- Varied and visually appealing character classes
- Lengthy main story and lots of side quests and tons of content
- Interconnected game systems make all content relevant, encouraging participation in all facets of gameplay
- F2P players are rewarded for their time and effort
- You can to play the game at your own pace, and there is a rested XP bonus

THE BAD:
- Dailies are repetitive and boring
- Rapport system unsatisfying
- Stealth missions feel like a chore

THE UGLY:
- Rampant bots and gold spammers
- Rapidly inflating gold economy (though, this is common for MMO's)
- This game will destroy whales. If you are bad with money or have a gambling problem, beware.

Each character feels completely different to play, and offers different tools to survive against different enemy types. Clearing tough rooms requires teamwork, as it is easy to get overwhelmed by the large number of monsters you will be facing. If you are a fan of top-down action and co-op, I highly recommend Gauntlet.
