This game is a TON of fun, especially if you want to engage the more mechanical part of your mind while you're listening to something else in the background.

Every run is different and challenging in its own way, your solutions are truly up to you (almost like a Zachtronics game), and so far, I've never gotten bored with it.

It's like Slay the Spire with card battles more like Hearthstone, but all your cards are PEOPLE, and there is PERMADEATH for them. So maybe Slay the Spire meets Hearthstone meets State of Decay?

This game should have done a lot better than it did when it was first released. It's got this insane synthwave vibe to it, and feels really good to play. Each level plays a different way, depending on what vehicle you march into it with. Highly replayable, and well worth the price.

This is probably the game I will have spent the most time playing this year. I've never played a game that was so perfectly tuned to put me into mortal peril, and yet always leave me a thread of hope that I can achieve total victory. Extremely intense, and yet also possible to play with a baby on your lap.

Just Cause 2 is one of those few games that I reinstall every now and then, just to have a unique experience I can't get anywhere else. I don't play it for the story — it's just this enormous sandbox, where your hero has an ungodly amount of mobility and freedom. It's hard to transition back to other open-world games after flying around in Just Cause 2.

Give it a shot. It's also super cheap.
