Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster is what happens when Square Enix remembered they had a god-tier RPG buried under 17 years of questionable font choices and mobile ports. And you know what? They finally gave it the glow-up it deserved — and it slaps harder than Sabin’s Blitz input on a caffeine bender.

Let’s talk about the basics:

🎨 GRAPHICS – The new pixel art is so crisp it makes toast jealous. Terra’s hair is majestic, Kefka’s insanity sparkles like an evil Lisa Frank sticker, and the Mode 7 world map looks like it went to finishing school.

🎵 MUSIC – The reorchestrated soundtrack will make you cry. Not because of sadness — because it’s so good your ears will feel underdressed. Dancing Mad now requires a tuxedo to listen to.

📖 STORY – Still top-tier. Empire bad, rebels scrappy, magic gone, oops magic back. Everyone is sad. Then everyone finds hope. Except Kefka. He just finds a murder tower.

🕹️ GAMEPLAY – Smooth, satisfying, and still lets you punch a god in the face with a yeti and a moogle. Sabin still doesn’t skip arm day. Gogo still doesn’t know what’s going on. Shadow probably dies, but only if you don’t love him enough. Relm is still 10 years old and already better at painting than you’ll ever be.

💡 NEW FEATURES – You can run diagonally. That’s it. That’s the review.

CONS:

No new content. Just remastered perfection.

Still can't date General Leo. 0/10 romance options.

The opera scene is now so beautiful you may need tissues or emotional support from your dog.

Kefka still wins for half the game and somehow laughs in Dolby Atmos.

VERDICT:
This isn’t just a remaster. This is a love letter written in chocobo feathers, sealed with phoenix down, and delivered by a moogle in a tux. It’s time to return to the World of Balance — and then immediately destroy it.

How real is CMS2018? Customers call and I never answer. I'd say it's pretty spot on.

But no really, this is a good educational tool + customize your cars simulator. Lots of addons by the community. I suggest it.

After being on the fence about playing this for a while, I killed some toilet time by watching some livestreams of people playing this. I decided to buy it -- to give it a shot. 10.3 hours into day 1 I have killed my day off and still want to play more. This is awesome, especially with friends.

Once I was alone and sad. Then I met my very first Kubrow. I named it "Le Dank Dog". He is my best friend. Now I have friends. I am a Tenno. I like trains.
