I'd rather stub all my toes into a glass table than finish this "strategy game". Buggy animations, limited and confusing abilities, push/cover attack that inexplicably helps you to get shot and other questionable gameplay mechanics illustrate how unpolished and unfinished the game is. Can't help but think that developers tried to make a buck by banking on the John Wick brand and its voice actors. This could've been a memorable SUPERHOT alternative, but instead it shall remain forgotten forever in my TRASH library category.

Fast-paced, dumbed-down, buggy, unbalanced, unpolished miscarriage version of XCOM. And yet, it was a lot of fun to explore different mechanics of the new items and diverse crew, where each character is unique with non-repetitive skills.
XCOM: Chimera Squad is an unpolished gem, but if you do not go in with high expectations you may end up having a great time with it.

Crying Suns is heavily influenced by the Dune books - cloned Idaho, Face Changers, OMNI robots in place of the melange. If you are a fan of the Herbert's classics you will likely enjoy what Alt Shift developers cooked up in here. Gameplay is similar to FTL with a constant pursuit, where your play-style largely depends on the ship and items the RNGesus rolled for you. Music is very fitting and gripping, UI and backgrounds are very impressive for a pixel-art game. The $24.99 price is a bit too much, but at $15 this is a no-brainer.

Spiritual successor of the witcher games, Thronebreaker offers an engaging and a reasonable story with plenty of twists and turns. Gwent here is very different from Witcher 3 and often seems to be impossible to win, but very satisfying when you find a solution. Voiceover is top-notch and filled with justified and expected emotions. However the flow of the game is not always appropriate and tends to get tedious, especially towards the end. I've spent around 40-50 hours in a single playthrough, however it has several endings so the quoted price is very reasonable. Thronebreeaker is truly a child of love made by CDPR, before the whole fiasco of Cyberpunk.

Although not really worth the full price, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is fun and addictive, with beautiful art and unusual game style. It does get repetitive, UI is clunky and clearly console oriented, level scaling is a bit out of control.

But despite all of the issues, I was glad to spend 60 hours of my life with it.

Fun little "RTS", although not worth the full $15 price due to limited amount of content and low replayability value. It took me under 10 hours to finish it on hard difficulty, half of which I spent grinding the same-ish encounters.

Music reminds The Shining intro that can send chills down your spine. Overall, the game is quite atmospheric with cute looking units, animations and islands. It can get quite hard, often impossible if you select the wrong unit types. I wish it had larger battles, as there are not many strats you can employ with the maximum allowed 4 units at a time.

While the gameplay seems quite entertaining at first, the levels are extremely repetitive. After playing only for 3 hours, I have visited three out of four "biomes". Randomly generated layouts keep things somewhat fresh, but often are frustrating with pointless dead ends and frequent ledges, where you can easily fall off due to the fixed dodge distance and knockback.

A lot of enemy attacks are impossible to read and extremely fast, so you just end up kiting non-stop until your "skills" are ready. I'm sure with enough practice you can get used to the lightning pace, but there is really no point with the lazy story and no sense of progression. There are plenty of other rogue-like games that deserve your time more than the Wizard of Legend.
