Early Access Review
This was one of the best of the genre until it got its first large update. Most of what made the game fun, interesting skills and fun builds, has been taken away. Adding the passive tree just added a way to skinnerbox the player into a lame grind over a less interesting game.

I can't recommend a purchase now.

Better than most of the paid options in this genre. The vision mechanic is neat, the art is simple but very readable, gameplay is enjoyable. Reminds me of Amorphous+.

This game might be great someday but some choices are baffling. I have no idea why the game would close a full lobby after a full tournament is played. It's hard enough to get enough players, allow us to rematch. Also, this might be a mouse and keyboard issue, but it feels like the keybinds are dancing around under my fingers. The player is introduced to the game in a car and told that the left mouse button will eject the driver, while the shift key will boost. Then you are in a wingsuit and will assume that the left mouse button will "eject" you, closing your wings, but in this mode the left click is a speed boost and you will abandon your vehicle with a completely different key. Then you're expected to eject out of the car and "nudge" through rings, and once again the controls are different. Consistency would make the learning curve less annoying.

Remember when you could manually aim in games? Good times.

At its best, it's written as well as that blog your friend kept two years ago. At its worst, it reads like twitter fiction. Avoid.

I feel like this game should block more than a 1/4 of my screen with the character model and should add even more screen shake so it actually becomes an incomprehensible mess instead of remaining on the verge. Always go all the way with your vision, devs.

Months after my original purchase, after what was supposedly the final bugfixing patch, I fire up the game to give it another chance only to stumble upon an endless audio loop in the first five minutes of gameplay. Other bugs that I found when I played the game originally (first week post release) are still present.

Don't spend a cent on this.

One of the dumbest things I've played in a long while. An embarassment.
