This game is very, very sweet. It has an incredible story and an impressive amount of something for the base/core game being free, and it's very easy to sink a good couple of hours into. Character customization, while you never see yourself outside of a chibi version in specific screens, is very well done and something I don't think I've seen in many visual novels. Pronouns, body type/image, and sexuality are easily changeable at different points, and such things like body type/image and sexuality are active choices in the narrative. The influence of the comfort and interest slides on the story is a very nice aspect, and in step 3 the ability to choose how Cove behaves in regards to initiating physical contact/affection depending on how you choose to continue with them is a feature I haven't seen anywhere else, and is honestly one of my favourite smaller aspects of the game. I highly recommend it if you like visual novels, or even if you're just interested and want to get a solid dose of some soft and sweet content.

Pyre is stunning both in its art and its music, much like other Supergiant games, and it maintains a core around being character driven despite the overarching plot. With this being my second purchase of the game, it's definitely a game worth replaying in my opinion, and the varied cast of characters always manage to evoke a response - whether positive or negative - as they're all incredibly unique and fit into the story in their own ways with their own influences on how the lore and revealed story of the game can be viewed. The individual outcomes for each character are a solid pay-off for any attachment and investment one might develop in regards to them, and the player character also has a certain amount of player input on how they're presented and behave (pronoun choice at the beginning of the game, an option for a general backstory, 'dialogue' options etc.) and your character also gets their own outcome.

'Combat' is generally very smooth and easy to pick up, with each new addition to your roster having their own sort of mini-tutorial before you can fully use them on the team, and each character has their own abilities and utility when it comes to figuring out what characters work best together, how you want to equip them and fill out their masteries to fit your play style. The main two issues with 'combat' happen to be the very basic issue of not only your team but the enemy AI catching on some obstacles in ways that can be impressively frustrating when it happens to you (the enemy AI getting stuck is usually just a little entertaining, if not helpful, personally) and a side effect of the story progression and overall game functionality being that the dream team you created, depending on choices you make, may no longer remain possible to use - however, with the exception of one character for most people, all others are incredibly easy to pick up and create new teams with, so it is more an issue of personal attachment and comfort that not everyone is going to have happen.
Enemy teams are also unique in their own right, in skills and in character and there are several opportunities for these side characters to have their own small story arcs depending on your choices.

Overall, if you're a fan of Supergiant's other games, pick it up and give it a shot - and if you're not a fan of Supergiant games but want to try something unique, also give it a shot! I find most people overlook it due to it being a hybrid between a sport-sim and a more interactive visual novel, which means the game requires a good bit of reading, but it might just find a little niche to fill alongside everything else in your library.

TF2 is quite frankly an interesting game that, while it does take a bit of outside nosing around to find just what you're supposed to do, is incredibly fun to play and incredibly palatable no matter which of the classes you pick.

Transistor is a game you can tell was crafted with love behind it, from the music to the story and artwork. For a game with a fair emphasis on the storytelling, it has fairly solid combat system that can be tailored to how you want to play. While there are drawbacks to the combat, such as losing a skill while at low health, it does make you reevaluate skill combinations with certain enemies and improve using training areas.
Transistor was my first Supergiant game, and it lead me into their other games - it piqued not only my interest in the lone game but the rest of the studio's works with how well done it is; and I've gone through this game I don't know how many times just to experience it again, honestly.
