I got this game because I heard it was good. Within the first ten minutes I knew it wasn't for me. Why? The tone is all wrong. First, it is written like many modern games, with dialog that is flat out stupid with folks making dumb jokes while in very serious situations. Then there is the general overall color of the game and the look of the characters that told me this was a woke infested game with the usual tropes and cliches of the ugly women with half shaved heads and thin incompetent male characters that look like they'd fit in better in a modern Jaguar commercial.

Stick to the old games. The tone in this one is all wrong.

I've had a ton of fun with this game. I love the attention to detail that has been made within the game world. I appreciate that they don't put things in that are not part of the lore. I appreciate the intensity of the battles and love the community, which has been overall very positive.

This game is best played with friends, but strangers have been cool too. The laughs seem to be harder with friends, though. Dying in the game is often very funny, usually involving some desperate situation. I highly recommend it.

Early Access Review
So I have about 16 hours into it and I'm liking the game. It is still not at KSP 1 level. That said, it's getting there and I can totally see it surpassing it. It is a graphical upgrade. It seems to be less glitchy in terms of the rockets.

The things that are a bit annoying for KSP1 players are the camera controls, which don't use the arrow keys, as well as the inability to right click on a fuel tank to see how much fuel is left in there. That's very annoying when you have tanks feeding into another one. I'm sure this will be updated and fixed.

But this game has much more personality than KSP1. I like Mission Control. I like where this is heading. It is early access and it is playable in it's current state. I just recommend you go in with the expectation that this is still early access and is missing a few things. But, this is very close to surpassing KSP1 with just a few tweaks to UI and stability issues as well as all the added features coming on the road map.

The overall interface is usable, but behind KSP1. I find the nav ball a little harder to use in terms of aligning myself to my planned maneuver, but I eventually get there. Would be nice to have arrows pointing to the direction you wish to face.

There's no egineers yet, unless I'm missing something. So in orbit reparis aren't an option yet, at least at the point I'm at now. Perhaps I'm missing something.

But honestly, this game is heading the right direction and WILL be superior to KSP1 eventually. I can really see that possibility.

I have this game on the Nintendo Switch and bought the Steam version. I have to say that it is a beautiful game. It very much captures the original very well. It FEELS like the original game. It is more responsive and better controlling than the Switch version, which was tough to control at first. I've heard that was fixed in a latter patch.

The game looks gorgeous on an ultrawide screen. I did see screen tearing but it did go away after I enabled V-Sync. It seems to be limited to only 60 FPS which is disappointing, but that doesn't affect the gameplay. I recommend this if you are a shooter fan or wish to experience a great Sega Saturn experience remade with modern graphics.
