I would like to prefix this review by stating that I initially paid for a Rocksmith+ subscription through the Ubisoft store (not Steam) upon it's initial release. I have just installed the game now through Steam purely so I can get a few minutes playtime to allow me to write this review.

THE BEGINNING: I was a big fan of Rocksmith 2014 and had racked up around 200 hours of gametime. I jumped upon the moment of purchasing a Rocksmith+ subscription as soon as they launched the game. It was such a waste of money! The lessons were pretty boring, there are plenty of free ones on the internet. But where it really fell short was the song to learn and play along to. Ubisoft boast about the amount of song content but they are really poor quality; for example, one month they dropped a load of Cure song which I was excited to play along to. However, for what I presume to be licencing reasons, most of the songs were live concert recordings and some music part were very hard to hear clearly and play along to (and were not the same as the original studio recordings). It was a very disappointing experience.

THE MIDDLE: I intended to cancel my subscription after the first year but missed deadline, so my subscription auto-renewed. "No big deal" I said to myself, "I will give Rocksmith+ another chance, maybe it will improve". However, as soon as my subscription renewed, the game would not launch. It kept crashing even before it displayed the splash screen. I KID YOU NOT, after submitting a UBISoft support ticket, I spent over 4 months! chatting with, and submitting documets and screenshots, to the support team trying to resolve the issue. UBISoft have THE WORST support system. I was trapped in a constant loop of answering the same question and uploading the same documents despite one of their replies identifying that the problem was related to an account issue on their end. I truely believe that the support staff don't read the ticket case history before replying, and because you are never dealing with the same person it feels like the just send a generic reply so they can move on to the next case.

THE END: After months of not being able to play the game I requested a refund. However, because so long had passed since I had paid for the subscription, it was denied. I submitted my case to PayPal who agreed that I had paid for a service I was not recieving and issued me with a full refund. After recieving this, UBISoft put a ban on my account preventing me from using their store. For all I know, that ban may still be active over a year later, I don't know because I refuse to give them any more of my money.

***Summary***
Garbage content (not refering to personal music taste but actually quaility of content). Inept poor customer support!

I can't believe this was released as a AAA game with a AAA pricetag! I'm not exaggerating when I say it plays like a 2005 game!
When I first started playing it I kept thinking that it felt like the very first Deus Ex game (don't get me wrong, that was a great game! But great in 2000).
It's not really open world, each level/chapter is just a medium sized map. The streets you walk around have nobody on them, maybe two people standing here and one standing there but aside from that the streets are empty (like the first Deus Ex).
They may as well have made it a linear game because there really isn't anything to explore in the map. You can issue tickets to illegally parked cars or to vagrants but these "side objectives" are so obvious that there is no reward for exploring.
The graphics are sub-par even though they used the Unreal engine. There are no interesting small details in the textures, it's just bland (again, like the first Deus Ex). I've seen the same suit (white stitching around the buttonhole) on pretty much every NPC that wears a suit. The skin texture on the NPCs is awful! I think they thought they were being realistic by adding the skin pores but they made the texture of the pores way too prominent and bumpy, so everyone looks like they have a skin condition similar to J.F. Sebastian from Bladerunner.

Apart from Peter Weller (which is probably where all the budget went) the voice acting is childish and cringy which actually matches the quality of the script.

The cut scenes have the most amateur camera positioning that I've seen in a game, to the point that it makes me angry that some creative director approve it!

The music and sound has nice nostalgic moments to it but you don't hear them enough (except for RoboCop's stepping sounds, which I like but understand why others wouldn't).

The NPC animation and AI is laughable. I've shot a few perps that were taking cover behind a cardboard box, only they were standing up with their backs against it (even though the box was only ankle high).

The shooting parts of the game are somewhat fun, this probably takes up about 30% of the game, the rest is you just walking around (very slowly) trying to get to the next waypoint. But sadly, even the shooting part get repetitive and monotonous. ♥♥♥♥ knows why they've added other guns to pick up (the enemy often drop AK-47s and Uzi's) because Robocops gun has unlimited ammo and can be upgraded to be better than the NPCs guns.

Overall, I love the Robocop franchise but I think they really fell short on this one. There is no atmosphere, they could have done so much more to capture the feel of the original movie. It made me a bit sad.

From it's first launch I was a massive fan of this game, playing regularly for years. I took a break for a long while and when I returned I found that the first game had been removed and Overwatch 2 in it's place. I became saddened when I saw the latest version was being review bombed, so I avoided it. I regret that decision now as I decided to go against the reviews and try it for myself. I have no idea why people are being so negative about it. It's basically an upgrade to make the game free to play now. Stop whining that you paid for the first one and can't access it, that was years ago!
This is such a fun and well polished game! The only micro-transactions are for cosmetics (skins, emotes, etc...), there is NO "pay to win" so there is no advantage to spend money on the game.

Seriously, I can't recommend it enough. Unfortunately a lot of those reviews probably won't get updated/amended when those who are bombing it come back to play.

* With every update I'm waiting for it to get better. I'm still waiting!

* The whole game just feels slow, unresponsive and sluggish.

* Only way to build a team that you was is with in game coins (which take ages to accumulate) and micro-transaction.

* Can't recommend this game just yet. If you still have access to PES2021, play that!

I'll start with the positive. They've created the Terminator world as it should look and there are moments of the game where it is actually fun to play. I bought it in a sale but I'm still not sure its worth the $20 sale price.

The game has the potential to be really good (the trailer looks amazing!). However, what you actually get is a modern Medal of Honor. The maps force you along a certain path. Sometimes the path is wider, giving the illusion of open world, but its not! The storyline is mundanely predictable and boring and the script is as bad as the voice acting. I found myself skipping some of the dialog as it was too cringey to listen to!

The AI of the Terminators is dumb, if you've ever played Terminator: Salvation, it's on a par with that level of dumb!
There certain points on maps that trigger Terminator spawns, so you can scan a corridor or building ahead and see that it's clear but when hitting a certain point Terminators will just suddenly spawn around the a corner.

There are a few moments where the music is good, playing snippets of nostalgia from the original movie but even these are not samples, just modern versions. But most of the time it's action rock music.

Given all the (many!) terrible things about this game, it still has a spark of 'something' that keeps you playing but you'll hate yourself for doing so. I can't openly recommend this game but there is 30% enjoyable and fun gameplay, but negated with 70% boring, predictable and annoying gameplay.

An awesomely addictive game. It caught me left field, I wasn't expecting this much fun!

Be warned: TRIAL & ERROR!

I finished the game in about 6 hours. It was a lot of fun. There are no controls as such, just a point & click puzzle game but with a good story and great acting!
Due to this being a Groundhog Day-esq type game (you re-live the same 12 minutes over and over) repeating some of the dialog can be tiresome and if something doesn't go the way you intended, you have to start over. This is really a trial & error game. There's nothing to really get stuck on, you just keep trying things in different ways. You can look for a walkthrough but you probably wont get much satisfaction out the game if you do because the game is about discovering things through trial and error.

Overall, good fun, unique style. Not something I would play again, maybe in a few years when I have forgotten the story.
