As a longtime fan of KSP1, let me be clear that the sequel showed promise. The game had the usual suite of launch-day problems, but after the For Science update things were shaping up.

Unfortunately, Take 2 (the company that owns Private Division, KSP2's publisher, and Intercept Games, KSP2's developer), has made the decision to lay off all 70 of Intercept's employees and close the studio. They claim that Private Division will continue to service the product, but it seems pretty obvious that that's just PR spin. In its current state, I would not recommend the game at any price point. KSP1 has more features today, runs better on lower-end hardware, and has a healthy modding scene besides.

Unfortunately, Steam will not refund the purchase of an EA game when the publisher does a rug pull. My money is already gone. Don't let your good money follow my bad money.
