I have over 350 hours in this game and still feel like I have much to learn and it's not the mechanics - it's positioning, strategy, perception, patience, awareness, etc. Strategy and positioning are just as important in Hunt: Showdown as FPS skill. This is one of the best games that I have ever played and I hope that more people try it out and realize how great it is.
