If you're already familiar with the XCOM series I think this game is a great pickup! The breaching aspect of the game brings a tactical intro to a tight, closed off fire fight. Picking who you want to go first or witch breach position you want to enter from first feels like it actually matters. Going into a fight it's the classic XCOM top down view, instead of all your units using their actions first and then the enemy unit moving. It changes it with a divided turn based order and you have to manage how you want your team to deal with enemies as they take their turns next. It feels a little more frantic at first, but quickly it becomes a fluid fight. Finally I want to mention how awesome it is having Alien/Hybrid units. It's so cool. Having different abilities depending on your units origins is a great addition. I really like this game.
