Its definitly a fun game if you're looking for an intense if youre new, or hiliarious if youre experienced, time. The game is definitly flawed most notably in its matchmaking and its bugs/hitboxes. However you will only run into issues like that on a rare basis. However its community isnt the most friendly the higher you climb the rankings. You'll run into alot of toxic survivor teammates and salty killers who will use the most pathetic strategies to make your experience as survivor as painful as possible. However overall, it is fantastic. The complexity and grind is in my opinion despite being repetitive, quite satisfying and easy to forget about when youre just enjoying the game and it is an absolute BLAST when youre playing with friends. If you ever get a chance to convince your friends into playing this game please do it is much more fun with friends as a party game. And playing killer is also very satisfying as long as you arent in red ranks. The perk system is extremely versatile and fun to learn. Despite it maybe being slightly overwhelming for new players I encourage you to take the time to experiment and look up videos on youtube on fun and unique perk builds. One thing Im a little mixed on is the dlcs and the cosmetics. Despite the dlcs being incredible and fun to play with especially as a new killer, it also has its drawbacks of being borderline pay to win as aside from the shrine of secrets (a store that sells teachable perks in exchange for shards you get for leveling up), there is no way of getting killer and survivor exclusive perks unless you buy the dlcs, which although being cheap sure, are still behind a pay wall that some players may not be fortunate enough to afford. The cosmetics are very inconsistant, some are very cool and others are painfully dull and not worth the price tag given. But all this is definitly outshined by how damn fun this game is. Even if you dont have a big group of friends to play survive with friends with, there are plenty of discord servers where there are players in the same boat as you. So give the game a chance despite some of the crazy criticism the game is given. I did and I love the game even after coming back from a long break.
