absolutely bonkers post-release attempt to turn this from a whatever meh clicker game into a wannabe NFT trader. so stupid, so useless.

it was only spite that carried me through to get all the extra idiot achievements after the update hit.

cheap copy-pasted elements probably found from google images or AI prompted. the cats are so terribly mismatched in style that it's not even cute. boo hiss.

simple, short, but beautifully rendered. worth the five minutes.

Fun little time-killer, and the microtransactions are relatively unobtrusive which is all you can ask for in a f2p. Lost Lands certainly delivers above and beyond what you'd expect in a f2p game as far as visual quality. The settings are pretty to look at.

Pros:
- cutesy (if formulaic) story behind the game
- interplay between building, chest puzzles, enemies, and item collections keeps things interesting

Cons:
- achievements take a lifetime to earn since you need to max them out as opposed to Lost Lands: Mahjong
- energy costs & regeneration could really use some reworking given how quickly you can run through object rounds
- some of the English language needs tweaking. it's still readable but certainly...comes off awkwardly.

Wonderfully zen, soothing music, and cute environments for your potted friends.

All I wish is that it were easy to tell which plants are full grown versus not.

What more can you ask for from a free-to-play clicker-mystery? You can likely figure it out without a guide and still be done in under an hour, with most of that time spent on cutscenes. The music is pretty good, the art is decent, and if the plot's fairly predictable horror-trope... well. That's the way it goes. A couple of steps aren't totally clear but you can muddle through them or google for a quick hint.

A superbly addicting freebie and a hell of a gateway game for those looking to either dip a toe into the Fallout universe. I acquired Fallout 4 shortly after picking up Shelter and I haven't looked back. Engaging enough that I don't mind the steep learning curve and occasional hair-pulling moments when incidents pile up on each other. Highly recommend!

Only issue I had was the gendered outfits. I was pretty disappointed at restrictions not seen anywhere else in the franchise - if devs were looking to patch something, that'd be my only suggestion. Let me put Spock-ears on my ladies, please.

The plot is cringeworthy laughable but it's a relatively fun Bejeweled knockoff. The achievements are a bit of a grinder but no biggie.
