Ich kann das alles nicht mehr. Ich empfehle das Spiel, weil... man irgendwie wissen sollte worauf man sich einlässt.

Definitely shorter than Hollow Knight and Silksong. Which isn't bad at all. But you get what you see. A beautiful Metroidvania in some Team Cherry Style in purple with a lot of paint. Well done! (The "Defying Time" Achievement was pure evil!)

The nose ring was completely unnecessary!

Great game. I enjoyed playing episode by episode for a week. As far as I heard it got artificially stretched and I am not sure if it was for spoiler reasons. After playing Telltale's Batman it's decisions got a lot less emotional damage. The characters were amazing same as the voice actors. I really hope for a season 2... and maybe a season 3? Well done. Didn't expect it.

After seven years of waiting it is finally out. More Hornet, more acrobatic combat. The world is massive, layered with secrets, quests and a hunting atmosphere just like Hollow Knight. The art and soundtrack expand on what made the first game iconic, while the crafting and quest systems add new depths. For 20 Euros it is another stone of the grave of modern day AAA games and worth supporting Team Cherry! I hope the success makes them deliver another one in a shorter time period than seven years. The game is what we have been waiting for!

I expected Nightreign would reuse assets, enemies, and show me areas of Elden Ring I’d already explored and I was fine with that. I even enjoyed the faster pace! But Soulslike games have always defined themselves by a rich single-player experience and deep, cryptic lore. Instead, Nightreign just felt like a Monster Hunter theme park version of Elden Ring more focused on delivering a shallow multiplayer experience for less adventurous players than building on the masterpiece that came before.

Being forced to play as a predefined character didn’t help either. One of the greatest joys of Elden Ring was shaping my own Tarnished my look, my story, my path through the world. Nightreign takes that away and replaces it with generic spectacle.

I would have much rather seen a true expansion that respected what made the original game so special, instead of a diluted co-op romp pretending to be the next chapter.

Early Access Review
I really gave this game a fair chance. But it's not that good and quiet short. I know there is a lot of drama regarding all that stop killing games petition and I can feel the displeasure. Especially if this kind of games is representative for what we get in the future or what might could have stopped the chance of owning games in the future. But in here it should be just about the game and the dev and the truth it isn't special. It's about a boy and his got, but beneth the pixel art charm it is mostly shallow busywork. The gameplay loops are repetitive, the choices barely matter, and the “deep story” feels like vague reddit style plot stretched thin. If you’ve played Undertale or Lisa, you’ve seen this all done better!
