TL;DR: First Act of the game good content, nice gameplay ideas, good value on the early access discount. Expect some bugs and general EA jank. Recommended to fans of the OG game and the genre.

This is an early access title currently only consisting of the first act of the game. If you, like me, are a fan of the OG Titan Quest, I recommend trying this out. The game in it's current state has its issues, but is very promising.

Pro's:
- Different control schemes (WASD/Mouse movement/Controller)
- Mastery system improved in a sensible way, the finished product should enable as much build variety as the OG. Even in early access you should be able to try out several viable builds.
- Setting is executed well in Act 1, the story begins much stronger as in the first title, and the cinematics + voice acting are high quality. Don't expect Oscar-worthy storytelling, but the story is more interesting than in most ARPGs.
- Shrines allow you to respawn bosses, adjust mob levels, and respec.
- Difficulty and combat are just fine. Don't expect fast clearing like in PoE or other genre titles, even some trash mobs will require you to not fall asleep on the wheel. However once you get the hang of the combat, it is really fun.
- Handcrafted world map with lots of places to explore and secrets to find. The first act is an appropriate size but still possible to rush, if you so desire.

Things that need to improve before 1.0:
- General perfomance issues. I've read comments about this being an UE5 issue, but I am fairly certain this will improve until launch.
- Itemization so far is rather bland. I've found a few uniques and MI loot, that are good, but not really suitable to define a playstyle. They are strong though and should provide a significant power-up. This is fine for Act 1 of a game, but must improve in later acts.
- Movement and especially movement abilities are *very* buggy. I often found my character getting stuck on corpses/items on the ground, targeting of dashes/blinks going absolutely sideways and general inaccuracy on such abilities. This is definitely where the EA status of the game shines through the most.
- Bugs in general, whether UI or gameplay related, are to be expected - but are also expected to be fixed in later updates.
- All of the above contribute to the game as of the day of writing this feeling janky at times.

All in all, I recommend this one to everybody who is ready to deal with the jank that most EA titles come with. If you are a fan of the genre, or the original Titan Quest, you will feel right at home.
