I very much enjoyed the Nova Roma demo. At first glance, it looks (and feels) just like their previous (exceptionally good) game Kingdoms and Castles; but under the hood its so much more. The 3d terrain and height, the tech tree, the dynamic water simulation, the multi-component structures... everything about it is a significant gameplay improvement on the original. This will be a day-1 buy for me, and I'm looking forward to the increased difficulty options and the full game content on release.

This game is way more fun than it has any right to be, and is a steal at the sub-five-dollar price point.

This is an excellent ultra-indie take on the coop mission genre, where you play as totally-not-corrupt and maximally-zealous medieval guards to rescue hostages, sieze narcotics, issue fines, and subdue execute guilty criminals. Grab 3-16 friends and go bring law and order to Alestead!

Yes, its rough around the edges. Yes, arrows are uber-janky. Yes, there probably could be more content. Yes, you do need a group to play (is not balanced for solo, even though you can technically play by yourself). But also yes the game has heart, great theming, and lots of steel boots. I might not buy it at $15 with the current content and polish level, but at $5 or even $10 its absolutely worth it to play with friends.

Fyi for people complaining about combat damage - weapons generally either do like 1-3 or 10+ damage, and you can only get 10hp max. So yes, you get one-shot by the hammergirls, but that's what blocking is for. You do need to play tactically to survive - blocking, kicking, interrupting with attacks, etc all matter.

Beans.

I would love to recommend this game... but I can't. Its not worth the asking price. I kickstarted this and honestly wish I hadn't. Lowest tier KS supporters were literally the last group of people to get game access, and I am very unimpressed with how all of that got handled.

Pros:
- Captures the gameplay vibe of Advanced Wars very well
- Introduces some new mechanics that are actually really cool (sniper infantry, medics, bulldozer tanks, kamikaze trucks, etc etc)
- Generally fun

Cons:
- UI needs some help. Accessing information is hard, a lot of info you would want is unavailable, no confirmations for anything so its really easy to misclick and totally mess up your game, etc.
- Campaign is only 24 missions and abruptly ends, while 30+ is promised (and that isn't the only thing overpromised - there are not 14 CO's, there are several unit types mentioned in the steam page that are missing, etc)
- Storytelling/Plot/Character Dialogue are terrible. Like, so so so bad.
- Wastelands CO Abilities are literally unfun, particularly in campaign. "You die if you stay in this HUGE AREA" and "This unit is mine now, but only sorta, I hope you didn't need it ever"
- There is no skirmish mode (sorta, you can play custom maps via the editor, but, yea)
- Multiplayer only allows 5 maps that are all 1v1. Matchmaking has no MMR.

Overall it needs a lot of work, but in general its going in the right direction. Check back later to see if it gets the updates it deserves.

This game is an excellent new installment in the Monster Hunter series. If you liked World but wished movement was more dynamic, this is the MH for you. If you liked Rise, but wished things were a little less fleeting, you will probably appreciate Wilds too. There has never been a better MH game to join the series with, as the story eases you into the complexity of the MH games nice and gently. As someone who started with MH:Freedom on my PSP back in the day, this is the best Monster Hunter yet.

To explain the mixed reviews, I can sum it up with 2 words: Performance Issues. Many players with mid-high end computers have experienced ZERO issues, and the game runs great. Others have had constant crashing and terrible framerates due to what is essentially a (much better than World imo) port to PC from Playstation. Make sure you download the benchmark before buying to make sure your game will run well.

The Riftbreaker has been a ton of fun to play. It strikes a great balance between direct player combat in a bullet-hell-esque format, static tower defense against wave attacks, doing research, crafting new weapons, and building an economy to support all of that. The has survival mode gameplay, but really shines in the Campaign mode where you need to build up across multiple regions while exploring the planet. I'm really looking forward to the multiplayer update so I can play it with friends, coming soom!

This is one of the greatest RTS games of all time. The campaigns are fun, the galactic war is neat, and the ground combat is interesting... but the game really shines with space skirmish as one of the best space combat games ever. Up to 9 player multiplayer combat where every ship can receive individual orders and even each hardpoint has its own hp pool and can be specifically targeted. Are those torpedo launchers ruining your day? Blow those up first. Wish that ship could never recharge its shields? Take out the shield generator. That Star Destroyer throwing out too many TIE fighters? Wreck their hangar. The game is built around controlling the map for resource generation, then using those resources to build ships and upgrades to take out the enemy's space station. Sooooooo good, and they even did an x64 patch a couple years ago to keep the game playable on modern hardware.

PlateUp is a restaurant game where you get to cook food, serve food, clean up food, and most innovatively YOU GET TO ACTUALLY DO THE LAYOUT FOR YOUR RESTAURANT!!! This is the coop (or single player!) food service game that you are looking for - its all based around managing your layouts and serving food as efficiently as possible, without all the traversal gimmicks of similar themed games. Tons of fun solo, but even more fun with friends!

Factorio is the quintessential factory game. It balances complex production lines with resource scarcity and hostile pressure better than any other. While getting into Factorio is not for the faint of heart, if you ever played something like satisfactory but then got bored... this is the game you should be playing instead.

Bonus: No its not going to go on sale. Yes, it is absolutely worth whatever Wube is asking for it.

A relatively simple "aiming required" tower defense game with poppin' beats. While the strategic aspects and loadout selection can be critical, the game mostly comes down to accurately and efficiently destroying your enemies manually. The gameplay is basically "AC-130 simulator" with a digital hardware theme, and is absolutely worth the 2-3 USD the 1-man dev is asking for it.

Looking for an RTS crossed with a citybuilder and don't want to deal with going on offense? Then this is the game for you. Diplomacy is Not an Option has a strong focus on building defenses and managing your town-scale economy. You construct buildings to gather your resources, store your resources, house your people... and most importantly defend your domain from the wave-based swarm attacks coming your way.
