This has gotta be the best narratively written piece of art I've seen/played in years.
I had a ton of fun with this, even though my hours are pretty low - I plan to replay it a few more times for the different paths.
My only gripe with the game is the fact that season 1 has ended and I don't know if season 2 is going to be a thing.

Also I hate the developers for giving me depression at the ending of episode 6.

PS: Beef is the best boy.

One word; phenomenal. From the lore to the setting. From the art to the way it plays. I rarely come across something that hits as many buttons as this title has done.

Ostranauts is a refreshing take on the space survival genre. Born on the desolate rock that is 0KLG, you set out to make a name for yourself.
You will be scrapping, repairing & hauling things off of derelicts to make enough money to (hopefully) pay off your debt. However, this is far from what's there on offer below the surface. Prepare to get sucked into a lovely dystopian sci-fi world where you'll need all your wits to pull you through to the next day.

This game will probably not be for everyone as a lot of these mechanics can be very hard to wrap your head around.
For the people who have a thing for sci-fi, dystopian settings though? Absolute gold.
I cannot wait to see where this'll go, and I'm truly happy to have found Ostranauts so I can be along for the ride.
Give it a try, I promise you that you'll have a great time if anything I said ignited a spark in you, you won't regret it.

Absolute masterpiece, even at this early stage of development. I cannot understate how much this game blew me out of the water.

You can explore just about everywhere, which is also heavily rewarded. General tropes like invisible walls are (mostly) gone as you can vault/climb. Art style & music are phenomenal. Voice acting is nicely done.
The ONLY gripe I've had with the game, and that's not even a complaint, is that the playable characters look hideous, but maybe that's just the vibe they chose.

I have zero doubt in my mind that this game will shine brightly in the future to come. It already captivated me more than anything made over the last 5 - 8 years. Cannot wait to see where this'll go.

I understand that for EA there obviously are bugs/issues that one must accept, however;

1.) There's a lot missing in the game besides the actual bugs. Such as;
- No VA after the 1st tutorial mission.
- Missing texts.
- Subtitles are not the same as the VA lines that are there at the start, maybe because the subtitles were written before the VA or vice versa?

2.) There's a lot of performance issues, and some AI issues.
- Sometimes your minions just sort of stand there while the 1st row soaks all the damage.
- Sometimes your minions will randomly run off to another group of enemies while you're trying to focus a specific group down.
- Lots of freezes.
- Lots of stutters, specifically after using spells.
- So far I've personally experienced 5 crashes when trying to start a new run.

I'll probably update this list in a more well-written & detailed post a few days from now. So far I've been pretty disappointed though.. which makes me sad to say.
The concept is great. Artstyle is amazing. There seems to be a lot of love put into every model and the environment.
But even with The Unliving being a fantastic idea & having superb visuals, I'll refund my copy until the game is in a much more stable state, and will probably advice other people to do the same.
I've seen some people mention "It's an EA, so it's understandable". But I've played many EA titles where at least some of the core game is finished, unlike this, which again is a great idea but just works very poorly atm.

I wish the devs the best of luck on their progress!
