Early Access Review
Overall (for an early access game)
It's tons of fun! A bit overpriced, should be about $20 or $25. Just because of the fact it's early access...
In my experience, every function of this game works!!!!

People saying "it's not ready for early access" are braindead.
Instead of paying $70-$100 for a AAA game that should be early access,
you'd be paying $30 for a game that is categorized exactly where it needs to be.

They have a small variety of gamemodes and maps.
They already have cosmetic items, WHICH, DON'T COST YOU REAL MONEY!!!!!

I get over 60fps on a pc I built nearly 4 years ago, in a time where PC lifespans are about 5 years when you build midrange...

Either all the negative reviewers are on potato PCs, or they don't know the meaning of EARLY ACCESS!

Another thing to mention is that the recommended specs of this game are actually accurate unlike most other games...

Yes, I don't have a ton of time in this game. However, I shouldn't need to have a ton of time to tell everyone about yet another bad experience with this game. I've never been into single player games mainly because of the fact that a good majority of them seem to be overhyped like this one. I've had Cyberpunk in my library for a while but kept putting off playing it based off the reviews. Now that I've had a chance to mess with it a little I can say I don't recommend buying unless it's on sale. Almost 5 minutes into my playthrough, the game somehow caught an audio bug and simply won't get rid of it from restarting. A game of this caliber simply shouldn't have issues like this. I mean, I remember all the hype around this game, then they postponed the launch, and almost 3 years later, after MANY updates, THERE ARE STILL ISSUES.

Things I don't like:
- This is a SINGLE PLAYER GAME, IT SHOULD SHIP WITHOUT BUGS!!!!!!
I mean seriously, any SP games from even just 5 years ago wouldn't dare launch with BIG bug problems...

- After almost 3 years of time to fix EVERYTHING, I'm not able to download this game and play it fresh without a bug.
Come on now, forgetting the first thing I mentioned, Say it's normal for a single player title to launch with bugs, It's been
nearly 3 years since launch and I can't fresh install this game and start a new save without a terrible experience.

- Performance!!! Despite using around 60 to 80% of my CPU and ONLY 11% of my GPU at peak load in the benchmark, I
can't get over 60FPS with RTX on. Grant it, I'm "only" running a 3060 12GB GPU. Funny enough, a card that launched
AFTER this game. I understand that this game is one of the most demanding to ever be made. I just can't help to be a
little pissed off when I read the RECOMMENDED SPECS to RUN THIS GAME. It's honestly laughable to see that my $1,300
pc (at the time) can't max out a nearly 3 year old game. Meanwhile the recommended spec to run this game is a FOURTH
GEN INTEL CPU, AND a 6GB GPU. NOT to MENTION the 12GB RECOMMENDED RAM. I'm using nearly 12GB of my 32GB
while playing, it's absolutely ridiculous... To have a DECENT experience the recommended specs should definitely be the
minimum!

- The community OVERLOOKING the BUGS!!!
I can't fathom how Cyberpunk, EVEN in it's CURRENT STATE, has "mostly positive" reviews. There's NO WAY I could
recommend a friend this game knowing, AFTER NEARLY 3 YEARS SINCE RELEASE, They are most likely to have some sort
of issue that makes it unpleasant to play this game.

Things I like (so far):
- Story line.
So far the story line gives me good vibes lol. But that's really all I can say about that since I haven't been able to go more
than about 5 minutes into the story. The audio bug I currently have makes it almost painful to play a story oriented game.

- Graphics.
With my performance complaint in mind, this is one of the BEST looking games currently on the market. Most people
aren't going to be able to see it in that capacity though. It's very unfortunate that somebody would have to pay the price
of a decent used car in order to max out this game. And still probably run into an annoying bug lmao...

-------------------------
That's about it. I can't recommend this game to my friends or honestly anybody for that matter. It looks fantastic, and seems to have an "OK" story so far. But realistically, I'd refund this game if I bought it today and found myself having to google an audio fix for a nearly 3 year old game. I remember this game being advertised as THE BEST looking game to ever be made, and it's true. That is if you have a $3,000 PC... Along with that, we all know what the Steam hardware survey looks like. Most people might be able to play this game, but they definitely won't be enjoying it "as advertised"

Although I'm not very good at this game, it's exactly what you would expect and want out of a fighting game.

Base Game

Assetto Corsa is one of the closest things to real driving simulation that we can get to. You can go with either, kbm, controller, or a driving wheel/pedals/shifter setup. You don't need to own a full on $10k+ hydro. triple monitor setup to have fun on this game. Personally I use an Xbox controller with custom bindings to fit my play style. Controls aside, game modification is quite simple. You can get custom vehicles and maps just by placing them in your game directory. If you buy the base game you also get the "dedicated server" too. Meaning you can setup a server for you can your friends to play on. Other than that everything from tire pressure to turbo percentage can be calibrated to your liking on specific vehicles.

The Community

Overall the community is pretty decent. However, like most other online games, you will eventually run into a few toxic people here and there. Most of the mods are created by community members, so that should tell you a bit.

Summary

The realism and the open modification of this game makes is extremely fun. I recommend this game to anyone who is interested in cars or wants to learn more about cars. Not only that, but people who like to compete with friends will have fun on this game as well. I know I have...

Base Game

Car Soccer is the best way to explain this game to anyone. The best thing about Rocket League is that you can go full try hard or casual. I've met plenty of players that barely know how to air roll, and still enjoy the game. Personally, my favorite feature to this game is the configuration for the controls. You can bind anything to any button in the settings of this game. Which allows for a very nice feeling of total control, unlike other games out there... Overall learning the mechanics of Rocket League can be very difficult. Unless you are gifted like Shroud I don't think you will be an RL God overnight. However, with practice and playtime, you can get to that "RL God" Level. That's if you can stand the Community, more on that later. Rocket League also allows for workshop content to be created and used in-game. Meaning you can find special training maps, or other things, to put your skills to the test. Although, with the recent exchange of Psyonix to Epic Games we fully expect that Rocket League will be moved to the Epic Store. Thus getting rid of the workshop maps being available through steam. Everything is still very unclear, but one thing we know for certain is that Rocket League has a very high chance of going to the Epic Store, also more on this later. Overall the base game is very well built and a great car soccer simulator.

The Community

I can comfortably say that the Rocket League community can be toxic at times. Especially with the quick chats... The Majority of the 500-ish hours (total, over multiple accounts) I've encountered my fair share. Thankfully cheaters aren't really a thing, all RL has are a few salty community members. Which you are going to have on any multiplayer video game. Overall most people will be able to live with the minor trash talk you might see on RL...

The Acquisition of Psyonix by Epic Games

My personal theory is that since Epic owns Unreal Engine they will be taking most new titles and putting them on the Epic Store. This is very much real and proven with the announcement of new, Unreal Engine based, games like Borderlands 3 dropping on the Epic Store. Now with the recent acquirement Psyonix it seems Epic will also be going after popular esports titles like Rocket League. Their intentions are unknown at this time, but they could go either way they want with Rocket League.

Summary

I currently recommend Rocket League as is. I personally recommend you get the game on steam and play it while you can... There is no information on what Epic Games intend to do with Rocket League. It's highly unlikely that Epic will abandon RL, but it can be a possibility. With that being said have fun while you can!
