Great game, i just wish the travelers interacted with each other more during their stories.
Also Traveler banter should be more frequent (and voiced)

Those are my only complaints, otherwise its a great JRPG and a great successor to Octopath 1

game is fine, idk why people are saying it sucks or that the combat is slugish.
all Bandai Namco games have what i call a "committal combat system" aka: when you press a button your character does the action no matter what, and you cant cancel the action or dodge out of it.
This creates a combat system where you cannot run in mashing buttons and need to think about how to approach each fight.

once you have that in mind this game's combat is extremly fun to mess around with, and once you unlock the ability to use multiple of your partner's abilities at once, in combination with using your partner's swap attacks, this has quickly become one of my favorite action games.

PS:
The story is also relatively fine, its not an emotional or deep story like youd find in other Bandai Namco games like the Tails series but its still a serviceable story that gives context to the game and properly explains the motivations of the characters, while throwing some interesting and suprisingly not tropy or cliche anime characters in the mix. Though the story starts off a little slow. ngl

overall its a fun ride, and the main characters follow 2 diffrent sides of the plot with diffrent allies so theres some value in playing the game again with the other character so see their perspective on the conflict as well as mess around their the partner characters they have.

Ive been playing since the CBT for the Japanese verson back in 2012, so ive been playing this game for about 8 years, so ofc I highly recommend it.
Its my favorite MMORPG of all time, but Im also a massive PS fan, I just wish that Microsoft didnt absolutely ruin the launch of this game.

Its a tad overwhelming when your new but if you stick with it then the game MASSIVELY opens up with tons of things to do.
My only real complaint about the game is how much of it is group oriented, so since no one runs alot of the older content, new players dont really get the chance to experience it.
