Best DLC car, shame they discontinued it. Hopefully it'll come back at some point for people to purchase again...

Worst Souls game by some margin, but with the Cinders mod it becomes a masterpiece!

Right off the start, I'm a HUGE fan of Grim Dawn, endgame/newgame+ is the pacing I enjoy in isometric games and that and torchlight 2 is about the extent of my experience in these style games. but I thought I'd pick this up and try it since it received such rave reviews from pretty much everyone and the in-depth D&D style character development really stood out to me. BUT I could only get about an hour in before calling it quits, everything just happens soooooooooooooooo slow. I know it's personal preference but seriously warning people before buying this that you need to understand that the turn based aspect is emphasized a lot and so to someone coming off of a more fast paced, real-time isometric like Grim Dawn, etc, it might not be very satisfying as it just kind of feels like playing chess where you have a set of options and if you mess up you just want it to be over but it takes forever because it's turn based.

Anyway I'm gonna recommend the game to anyone that doesn't feel a slight twinge of doubt in their stomach over those aspects because you're probably gonna love this game, even character creation felt weighty and dialogue was out of this world, the devs really put some work into this one and if you're not me you'll probably get a lot out of it.

Bought this while it was still in beta - so I probably have another hundred or so hours on the pre-steam version - transferred it over to steam on full release and have 176 here. Honestly I'm going to recommend it solely on the fact that when you do get into it you really get into it and can throw away dozens of hours. However, a fair warning that unless you get the horizons season pass you'll probably run out of things to do because pvp combat is almost out of the question without it. Because of this I only play this title in short bursts of a few days every now and then, still a good game and definitely worth it on sale if you're into the whole Euro/American Truck Sim series as I am.

UPDATE Feb 6, 2020 - I have officially caved and bought the Horizons pass, maybe I'll update this review again if I remember :)

Haven't played this game since October of 2013, it wasn't amazing then but it was a pretty solid ship builder with a lot of promise. checking on it now though and it looks like it hasn't improved much despite almost 3 years since it's 'full' release. Right now this is just a game that I show to friends as an example of the worst case scenario with early access. Watch yourselves kids.

I remember playing this on my brother's Windows 98 PC many many years ago, I had more hours in this game than I have in Rocket League now. As a veteran of the original I can testify that The HD Steam version does the original more than justice, everything thing is there and I had a nostalgia trip for hours when I first got this. If you're a fan of classic RTS, resource management sims, GET THIS GAME. The workshop support and continued release of expansions adds even more to this amazing classic title.

Would definately reccommend this game, I have gotten many hours of fun out of it myself (21.1 only in my present windows install, time got reset after windows reinstall)

PROS
-Pretty good replay value
-Distinct classes
-On sale literally every sale Steam has one
-STEAM WORKSHOP!!!
-Graphics have aged well for a 2 year old Hack n' Slash
-Loot system in coop (see game desc. for more details)

CONS
-As far as replay value goes, the first few areas get pretty repetitive (Played through 5 characters/classes myself)
-A massive modding community, but the game only allows 10 mods to be active at one time. (can be solved by creating your own modpack, but really, that should be allowed in the base game imo.)
