Thumbs up even for a Ubisoft game. Rare. However, this is the last Assassin's Creed they made right. Enough content (not to much, not to bloated) to get your hours from it. And who doesn't like ancient Greece. 9/10 game.

Toxic servers, racist and demeaning slurs in comms.
Story mode I would have given a in-between rating. I get its' a mil-sim. But for me it's to hard. Not fun enough to give a thumbs up.

Overlord 3 please!

Crashes constantly. Key mapping feels like it's from the early 90's. Rebinding breaks everything. It's funny, this game literally crashes less and works better on Linux. Good job MS. Also sidenote. This games anti-cheat actually hurts it more than it helps when it even taps into single-player campaign and crashes the game due it detecting 3rd party apps (that aren't even trainers) that the anti-cheat thinks are suspicious. What a joke.

It’s tedious and production lines are just annoying when you need to have 10+ markets or similar just to satisfy a small area. Campaign is horrible just the small amount I played. Either make it engaging and enjoyable or don’t have it at all. And yes, some of us buy games for the campaigns, not endless free play.

I honestly think Settlers have a better building and production feature. Warehouses have unlimited reach but can be slow depending on distance. The way this is (and all Anno games) is just annoying.

Is this the Settlers that we used to know and love? No, it's more combat focused and pretty dumbed down when it comes to building and productions. However, I like it still. There are enough resembles to the classics to still call it Settlers. Personally, compares to games like the Anno series I enjoy this building model more. You don't have to have production buildings or food buildings set up every five squares just to fullfill the settlers needs (in terms of distance). You can have one fishing hut at will reach your entire city, just slowly. Not like Anno where if you're market is our of range you're fkd. That is dumb in my opinion.

The story if fun. You can play it how slow or fast you want. I takes me around two to three hours to complete one mission because I like to take it slow, build and defend. But that same mission could be done in less than one hour if done correctly.

The endless modes are fun as well with the same as above. You can play how advanced you want or how slow you want.

Tldr; Not the best Settlers, not the worst. Production and storage is well done, unlike Anno series. Worth the price.

I had written a long in depth review of my few hours when my Steam spooked and closed down the review window. Long review short. After changing compatibility layer the game works just fine under Linux. It's fun, much to do and you can make it how chill you want or how Walking Deadish you want thanks to custom sliders. I really appreciate that in games like this. 100% worth the price.

Seems fun but sadly it's unplayable on my PC. Major graphical glitches, missing textures, flickering shadows etc. I'm on Linux so if anyone have some tips please leave them for others to try.

It's a buggy mess piled on top of a bad optimized experience.

Advertized as free to play but good luck with that. The most limited free to play MMO out there with sub-fee that is more expensive than most popular MMO's that actually have a player base.

OK. After playing for a while I decided to change my initial thumbs up to a down (simply because Steam STILL doesn't have a neutral option).

Staff is just impossible to keep happy. I've played scenarios and free mode and my staff just become unhappy no matter what.

I also feel like, and this is not a bad thing but problematic, there are just too many things/stuff/placables for the size of taverns. I run out of space all the time and literally have to micro manage room sizes and cram everything together and there is still not enough space, which impacts visitors negatively. One big example is the staff room, I just never have enough beds (where are the bunk beds?). The storage room is another example.

Maybe this is just me and maybe you unlock better stuff and bigger taverns later but for now I just don't really feel like coming back to the game. It needs some polish in my opinion.

It's still a fun game and you should definitely buy it and have it in your library, if only to support the devs who are making great games.
