TL;DR - The best game of its kind with the worst monetisation plan - expiring currency.

Only after playing for a couple of seasons and losing about 500 coins did I realise currency in this game came with an expiration date, depending on how you "earned" it. I was trying to get over it when I saw the season increase in price for what I first took as an in-game event included into the season.

Bottom line is, you can't stack currency and only buy from the store stuff you actually like, you're forced to spend on whatever is available before the currency expires,

As far as I can tell it's the most realistic battle-royale 3rd person shooter. I suppose that's why the cash grab schemes - where your hard "earned" money gets an expiration date - are still in place.

One of the best tower defense games I played "on mobile". It's basically identical on PC, except it's not MOBILE!
So why the negative review?
I unlocked EVERY zone on mobile (thank god I didn't purchase anything) only to find out that when changing phones or clearing all data progress doesn't carry over - because it's not saving progress anywhere. Even though that was on me for not doing my homework, the fact that it has google play achievements could've easily fooled anyone. Years later after having addressed this issue the devs didn't see fit to add any sort of cloud save.
Back to the PC version - the simple fact that in this day and age there is no cross-platform for this arguably simple game warrants a negative review.

Not happy about having purchased this - not sure what I was expecting.

IF you like this you should give Last Hope TD a chance.
It also available on mobile and PC, it also lacks cross-platform but at least it has cloud save eveywhere.
It's also much more demanding in terms of gameplay because it's more of a squad-based RPG-like tower defense and you have to manage some characters in addition to building towers.

It delivers on sweat, heart rate & calories burnt!

Wish it had a friends scoreboard like beat saber does.

Edit:

Gets old, fast, without friends to compare your scores to.

2 friends played on my headset on their own accounts, none of us see each other's score.

Pros:
1. 3rd person MOBA
2. Gods
3. Play Modes
4. Rewards available for in-game currency
---

Cons:
1. Menu and gameplay feel aimed at consoles and/or ported from consoles.
2. Information clutter - both menu and gameplay suffer from unintuitive placement of options and info or even excessive amounts of data.
3. Some of the gods look great but others are very poorly designed (visually). The menu is unintuitive, poorly made – as if the designer’s only goal was to have a working version, just throw in the options as they come to mind.
4. Rewards – the skins may be nice but they’re ridiculously expensive, even for in-game currency.
---

From my perspective, most people playing any of the other popular MOBAs will have a hard time converting to this.
As interesting as it may be, you can only dangle a carrot for so long before people lose interest.

The cinematic promo was exceptionally well made – just had to mention this.

Overall the game is enjoyable on the PC, so I would really recommend it to anyone who likes MOBAs, in spite of the Cons.
I gave it a try, had fun […] went back to my previous MOBA.

Still looking forward to trying this on XBOX!
