I bought this back when the second map was just coming out and I greatly enjoyed the gameplay. It started introducing crates and cosmetics and I started getting concerned but the gameplay was still fun. I took a break for a long time and now that I am back, the gameplay has only gotten better but the cosmetics are now almost entirely locked behind a battle pass feature that a freemium game would have. It's fun, but if you derive any type of enjoyment from customizing your character, there are better games out there that won't try an extract money from you like a swarm of mosquitos.

Pros:
-Grounded combat
-Absolutely wonderful audio design. Truly a marvel
-"realistic" visuals allow me to suspend my disbelief and feel in the moment
-Frantic scramble for gear is unmatched from any competitor game

Cons:
-Battle pass system
-Too much down time in lobby system. This is a nitpick at worst
-Rewards don't feel like rewards with how minor and how sparsely they are given to you. I have to reach level 300 something to get an icon I would actually like, and even then it's not shown off anywhere

All in all, this game has a lot of potential to be what Fortnite isn't and has ended up a fun to play but unfun to invest long term hours into. It's disappointing but I respect a lot of what the game is. It's held back by its industry imitations.

One day, a few years ago, I took a risk and spent a few bucks on this game. Everything about it consumed me from that point on. Everything about this game /feels/ good. Not just is it fun, it makes you feel like a badass. I love this game.

This is still one of the best games I've ever played. Nothing has ever made me feel so powerful.

I've been playing Street Fighter since I was a little stupid baby so that gives me a pretty good leg up over everyone that has ever touched a computer before. Street Fighter is the fighting game that everyone comes back to after you're done with fighting games that let you turn into dinosaur men or has your character ripping limbs off your mashed up opponent.

One time I beat my friends head in so roughly in this game it gave him sleep paralysis for a week.

The roster is broad which doesn't always appeal to everyone but if you're the type of person who wants a roster that's just jam packed with the contents of grandmas medicine cabinet, this hypeness is for you.

Buy the game. Play the game. Fight the people. You're beautiful. I only want to be friends, please stop looking at me like that - it makes me uncomfortable.
