I loved Suzerain. World, diplomacy, characters.. It is overall a great experience. Plus point from me because I feel like Sordland takes a lot of inspiration my beloved homeland, Türkiye.

However, I must warn you if you are expecting a Political Sim. It's not. It is one the reasons that after few hours of excitement, I started to get bored. Don't get me wrong, story and characters are still interesting, yet there is way too much drama that games forces you to eat with a shovel. The game kind of tries to pull the rug out from under of player in any moment, which becomes frustrating because you start to fight against the game's linear events, that doesn't mean anything politically. After that point, immersion dies and game becomes a chore rather than fun device.

Spoiler Ahead

There are certain things that doesn't make sense. Why we can't talk to our wife more directly so she will make speech somewhere else? Why we can't talk to our bff earlier in the game? Why we can't get suspicious of our secretary by our own instincts? We are not playing a president who won the elections, yet a stupid puppet that cannot make any decisions by himself. He cannot even look at the constitution again by himself.

This part of the game is very frustrating that kills the immersion after few hours unfortunately. Instead of the long writing of the dialogues, focusing on this problem which could've solved by more routes (yes more work) would increase the meaning of choices.

Overall a nice experience though. 7/10, probably will not try other routes because, well, there is too much text to go over again.

Funny and interesting start, but boring after 30 mins, too repetitive.

There is a strong hype about atmospheric, relaxing games such as Journey, Abzu, Aer, even Stray etc. You name it. I'm not sure what is the goal of developers while making games, but everytime I play a game like that, I just feel that these are not games. These are basically interactively enhanced animation films, and I want to play games. So this is a biased review.

Journey or Abzu was able to deliver the story in a way that you are supposed to follow a direction, will see signifiers to continue that path. Even though I stay my ground on claiming those titles are not games, they were at least able to make the player experience the designated thing in sequences.

This game doesn't really has that and forces you to do lots of backtracking, even at the start of the game. Lacking signifiers, not too great controls, slow movement speed.. It's a really bad example of that exploration genre, but somehow people managed to like it, it's beyond my understanding. Maybe I should make a game like this to gain some money.

It feels like a cheap Half-Life x Portal copy that doesn't make a lot of sense in any way. Gameplay is clunky, optimization is bad. Also a bug in the bridge made me stuck in somewhere that I can't leave whatever I tried, which was frustrating.
Story does not make any sense. Ending of the story was flat and didn't explained anything. It was really short, which is directly a reason why the story was bland. Environment was boring. In a supposedly story-rich and atmospheric game, these are great sins that you should avoid.

It's cheap in discount, but even with that I don't think it's worth the price. This is only a tiny glance to a concept of a game, a demo, which wasn't executed well. Waste of time (and money) unfortunately.

I can't really see how people played this and liked it. It is a buggy mess, clunky gameplay. Looks like my university project, not an actual game. Not even worth a dollar.

So, I finished the game in a session. It is not a bad game, if it was, I couldn't have finished it.

I like exploring in games, I love detective games. Atmosphere was nice at the start, I like the art style as well I must say. Music and sound is pretty boring. Car driving is nice enough if you drive on a straight line.

BUT, where is the rest of the story? Why did I waste my time on exploring all the cabins and houses to gather evidence and learn more about the plot? Why did I stacked up so many ammo an item only to being able to retrieve a gun and ammo at the end of the game anyway, and it didn't do anything? What kind of a ending it was? I feel deceived. I got so many questions but no answers.

I spent 4.6 hours just because of my curiosity and stupidity. I could've finish the game in 30 mins, just driving up north and walking. It's the reason I don't recommend. Because this is a walking simulator disguised as a game. It is worse than a playing a demo. ♥♥♥♥ it.

Compared to the other people, I didn't had much problem with driving. But the race episode, oh god.

Atmosphere feels awesome, and I can clearly say that it was the only reason why I played this game. Combats were nice as well. But the scenario felt blank. Episodic way of storytelling wasn't for me. Plot twists were too obvious. After some point, I just played it to finish it. I didn't like the ending either.

The game also made me realize how I got used to storied with multiple endings. I was expecting some choices. Felt like it should've choices. Also, an open world gameplay as a daily life of mafia could be nice as well. But after all, it is a remake. So you can't ask much I guess.

If you love 1930s, mafia aesthetics. Go for it.

I both love and hate this game. I am having lots of fun while playing, I am sucker for this genre. Both like every rose, this has thorns as well.

"Prone Blocked". I don't know why but proning in this game is problematic. You can't climb some places in prone position, sometimes you can't move your gun into the position you want. There are other problems related to the physics of engine. Sometimes you can't climb, sometimes you fell and die from normal heights, sometimes you are stuck in places.

Squads suck most of the time. After a while, I was forced to close my voice chat. There are always people screaming in their own languages. Voice-chat hinders good team play.

But other than that, it is a nice experience! I really want to see this game with improved team play mechanics.

It is a cool game. Mechanics of old Assassin's Creed with Batman series. If you think this as a Orc slashing game, it is really good. Nemesis system is nice. You can be the Lord of Mordor if you try. But it has flaws.

Story and characters sucks. I don't even remember if I finished it or not. But I know final boss sucks. Talion sucks. Very plain character. The environment sucks a bit. I mean, it is Mordor. I understand that you can't have a diverse map. BUT, what you can do is investing in lore. I was expecting even darker and scarier places. Stories of the past.

It is not a game you would play for the story. It didn't fulfil my hunger for Middle-Earth either. What you can do is, killing Orcs. Lots of Orcs. There were not a diversity of enemies anyway.

So yeah, you can kill orcs in style. Or you can kill orcs with stealth. Or, you can make orcs kill other orcs by branding them. Did I mention that you can kill orcs?
