It is a pretty deceptive game.
Starts as an interesting rogue-like escape room deck builder, then evolves into a weird mystery adventure.
Most people would stop at the end of the first act but those who would like mystery adventures should see it further.

It's the best game of its genre so far, and probably the best role playing experience in the AAA world. It will be the benchmark for years to come.

The main story is shorter than Divinity: OS2 but it compensates by the breath of gameplay.
The writing is glorious. The story merges Forgotten Realms' foundational lore with themes from previous Baldur's Gate games. It manages to elevate not only the games that came before it, but also the Forgotten Realms itself.

There are some underdeveloped themes, artifacts from possibly dropped story lines, and a lack of polish in the very final parts of the game. Knowing Larian, they will fix these issues in the months to come, so those get a pass.

I am already planning my second run.

If you liked making moonshine distilleries in This War of Mine, this is a game for you.

Supergiant tries its hand on a completely different game. You need to enjoy the sports game, or it will be somewhat boring of a playthrough.

Fantastic game both as a standalone title and the last game of a francise. Great visuals, characters and story. CDR is perhaps the only developer that actually expands the game with DLCs. Play at Death March difficulty to get a soulslike experience.
