The Beginner's Guide has always been on my radar and more importantly on my wishlist. A few days ago a friend of mine bought it for me as a gift, and i have some things to say.

There are games that will make you happy. Some will bring out your competitive nature and some will make you furious to no extent. Not this game.

While walking through The Beginner's Guide I felt a constant sense of dread. Unraveling the story I found myself, not only empathizing but hurting along with Coda and Davey. I came in knowing nothing, completely blind about the topic and the story behind it. That made everything so much more impactful. I found myself walking around areas that were empty, with nothing to provide me or the narrative just so i can see the emotion that was put into this game. The game is mainly uninteractive, but I have never in my life been so attached to a story. It grabs you slowly and methodically and it ruins you the same way.

I'm glad I got to try this experience. For without it I wouldn't be the same person, and my games wouldn't be the same. A genuine change to how I see the world, and the game developing industry I'm about to step into.

Play this game.

Im over 200 hours in and I still have no idea what the hell I'm doing.

Avoid game in case of anger issues.

the best 5 bucks youll ever spend. basically drugs but cheaper.

Stack a ♥♥♥♥ load of boxes, get on a mountain with your jetpack, fly to an open area and hover above it at maximum height, press "X". I'd pay for that experience.

This game is awesome! Its a full on strategy/team based game in which if you go for the kills...It was fun meeting you,but you will propably die.The variety of Mercs (Characters) make the game more interesting by trying different types of playing.
