Some mechanics are a kind of craftsmanship.
Cutting the cable ties and neutralizing the bomb in general feels cool, but strange af, immediately make it clear that you are in a different type of game than just normal shooter. And the whole game is like this. In all these little random popping things.
You can also drive a car (fix inputs pls - make it feel more natural).
For those who would like to try the old proven formula with some additional features, the game would be great if it weren't for some problems.

It just doesn't feel like a game from 2025.
It looks old, feels old. And although it's fun to "push buttons", it's just not very interesting to play it yet for me personally.

Absolute garbage, that kills all fun just because guys that farmed this dlc for years have all the stuff to finish you. Its not about randomness, it about random control, that they already received and you dont.
Good TCG games with seasons and rankings made you having fun from pvp with rewards that affect everything, but not your pvp experience. Because skill issues are skill issues. You always are in same positions as your enemy. But not here. Whole system is cursed

It's just as I remember it on my PSP in 2007 (MHF2, MHFU. MHF3) but better.
No plot and story confuses a little bit in 2022, but its still a cool (and specific(for 2022))

My Exp in Persona games consists of P4G, P5 and P5R
So, lets go to the diff, pros and contras

First and the most is new combat system. It's not turnbased. Check it before buying game, and if u dont dislike it just give this game a try. It's really nice!

Second thing you may dislike is new amount of social events.
Days in P5S don't go one by one, but change, when you progress the story. Therefore there is no time for life events and social links like in normal persona game.

Third thing, that makes game not so fun is persona fusing, I completely loved the system in P5R, but here your fuses give you less then something
Your personas can not change their combo abilities, there is no res/null/drain abilities, to give them in fusion.
There is no itemize, but you dont really want to have skill cards, until its passive skill
And I dislike Persona Points, You just always make transition in buy fo yen/sell for points -> repeat
I understand, that Null/Drain/Repel Yoshitsune completely breaks rules, but cmon. All this fuse circus always was about making incredible power level personas.
Here you fuse them,you can up their stats, but all this is just to don't suck at power level and have personas default drains/nulls.
I cant say that its minus, cos now fights are a little more about your dodges and combos, not about 1st turn hassou tobi. It's still about debilitate/Matarukaja+Masukukaja+Marakukaja, but now it's diffirent. Just give it a try

I recommend to buy this game to everyone. who isn't afraid of new combat system and wants to try something new with good old friends

Played this after P5. In my personal rating it's still 5/5. I can truly see the problems, they fixed in 5th and I can see things, they didn't add (and it's sad, cos here you have way more activities. Maybe they fixed it in P5R, but I didn't play it, so . )
So!
You have to play it, if you didn't play Persona or Shin Megami Tensei series, because it's still a great jrpg/ visual novel/ adventure/ Kanji / Tanaka commodities game
And if you played, just go and buy it, because it's great and you know, whats it about
