Great game! Lots of fun to play with friends or just any random players. Even solo is enjoyable and in my opinion is a great way to unwind.

It's easy to get swept up trying to progress really quickly, but take your time. You don't have to go to higher levels early on because you want to go faster. If it's killing you to push yourself, just slow down and take your time with things. It gets easier as you go and find what works best for you in what circumstance. There are definitely different weapons that are better for different things, so there are plenty of different ways to play.

It's a friendly-fire physics-based game in several aspects, so definitely gotta watch out for hellpods dropping, teammates shooting, dead bodies flying, and obstacles when driving.

Bugs:
Like others have said, there are definitely quite a few bugs still present in the game. The most game-breaking ones are few and far between with the developers at Arrowhead Studios doing their best to take those out first. The developers don't have a massive studio, so people don't really understand that some things won't get fixed right away. I may not be a programmer or have that kind of knowledge, but even I know that quality takes time, and trying to push out new content while fixing bugs at the same time is surely very time consuming.

Some bugs are even funny. There's something called "slug divers" where if you get rag-dolled, you can still move at full speed while staying in the prone position.

Arrowhead is taking it slow which is great, because if they hired a whole bunch of new people, they might not be able to keep up with the production value that they've had so far. Slow and steady wins the race, guys. You want the game to get inflated with content to the point where they can't keep up with the bugs at all? Nobody wants that.

Side Note:
Can't believe people are review bombing this. If everyone's efforts were truly in vain, there would be no game. There have always been ups and downs in Helldivers 2, that means we've won AND failed so we should have been prepared for this, but it seems not. If we were meant to fail for some part of the story to progress, then so be it. I trust the developers have something in store.

Look out for boulders and try not to walk backwards when panicking, and you will do juuuust fine.

Great game. Played before it was finished and so much has changed since then. There are little relics of the past like copper armor shirts that used to be the actual armor. It's much easier to progress now than it was before but that doesn't mean it's not still fun. I miss skipping across the molten lava at the bottom of worlds for chests but it really made it too easy to get stuff.

My only complaint is that there's not much endgame. Building is fun for a while but doing little missions here and there just isn't as rewarding as it used to be early on. Hopping around planets for materials and random treasures make you want to explore more than stay in one place and I find myself detached from any of the characters that aren't aboard my ship.

Fun game, cool story line, you won't feel too bad if you move on to another game, definitely recommend.
