While it may not reach the heights of the games that came before it, it's still a quality platformer with great control and fun level designs. If you're looking for some good platforming action, this is a good recommendation.

Absolutely fantastic. The team behind this game perfectly understand what made the original SoR games so good. Controls work beautifully and are simple but easy to learn. I kinda wish unlocking things didn't take so long, but then again, this is the kind of game meant to be played over and over, and it's a good incentive to try out each of the different characters.

If you like beat-em-ups AT ALL, this is an absolute must.

I had a lot of fun with this game. It's basically a beat-'em-up with permadeath. It has a non-linear format where you get to choose your stages, and the bosses and levels actually differ depending on what order you play them in. The game can be difficult at times, but to me, that only means you just need to get better. The game never felt cheap to me in any way. I kinda wish there was online multiplayer (maybe in a future update), but overall, a fun game that's easy to recommend to action fans.

A quality platformer with a retro aesthetic, VVVVVV has a unique gimmick where instead of jumping, you switch from floor to ceiling. It can be pretty hard too, but in a way that's fair. You know, the good kind of high difficulty. A must for any platformer fan.
