Ok.. the game has been out for about 24 hours. I'm almost 15 hours in. It has a lot to offer. If you like games that reward the grind (like minecraft) you will love this game.

I have not been addicted to a game in a long time until I first played Cavebalzers. It is a fun rouge-like platformer. It has aspects of Diablo, Splunky and Terraria.

Pros:
- Great value for the asking price.
- Fun game with infinite re-playability.
- Cool powerups and a good number of different weapons.
- Very responsive controls.
- Challenging end level boss fights.

Cons:
- I keep getting killed by bats.
- I wish there was a continue option. Perma-death can be frustrating.
- DLC costs money, should be part of an update (I like this game so much I gladly paid just to support)
- I keep landing on spikes and getting killed.
- As of the review, I have almost 160 hours played and I have not beaten it yet (Its hard).

Over 374 hours later I finnaly got a win!

Like some of the games of years past, it's just simple fun. If you are looking for a deep story keep moving, this game isn;t for you. If I found this in an arcade, I would spend more then $2 in quarters playing it. One of the better bargins on steam. Looking for an old skool good time? Look no further.

It's kinda interesting, I just spent the past hour and a half on a journey with a narrator that was working through his life. It made me feel quite introspective and think about my own. If you are looking for a game you can log 100 hours in. This isn't it. If you are looking for an experience, kinda like a good book delivers, the entry fee is quite reasonable.
