Awesome little game that made me jump a few times, cool artstyle and deviates away from where you would expect this type of game to go, changed up the gameplay mechanics halfway to keep you engaged 10/10

Coming from the TCF Discord I thought I'd give it a go, although the voices are robotic and its a bit clunky I really wanted to finish the game. That last boss fight really sparked something inside me and I just couldn't drop the game until I had won. Really interesting game loop and can't wait to see it developed into the full game.

Early Access Review
After sinking 100 hours into this game i finally feel comfortable in giving it a review, and overall wholeheartedly recommending this to anyone who is a fan of the genre, or even shooters in general.
Whilst the game is still in Early Access, and games in this genre typically have a bad rep, PUBG has to be one of the most addictive game experiences i have in awhile. The gunplay reminds me that of Battlefield, a blend of tactical, but not overcomplcated gun mechanics, with each gun having its own recoil pattern, statistics etc. and is extremely rewarding. The Zone sytstem keeps things interesting and there is strategy in howw you use it, do you get in the Zone quickly, and set up and mow down unsuspecting players, or do you frantically rush whilst it's behind you, and try and catch people by surprise. It's this kind of fun but intense gameplay that makes it fun.
The game isn't perfect, and thats putting it nicely. Sinces it's Alpha there are bugs to be expected (One annoying one i experienced included me getting stuck inside a box that didnt allow me to move into the next Zone, causing me to die, very frustrating), the hitboxes and netcode are abit wonky, and the Sounds, whilst on the whole good can decieve you when it comes to postioning and distance.
Despite the bugginess, I can 100% recommend this game if you have a few friends who are willing to buy it to, as Squads and Duo is extremely fun, the Solo experience is also good, but its hard to warrant the asking price for this kind of game if your willing to only play alone.
The dev team also seems to be keeping to their promises, with weekly updates, which keeps the game somewhat fresh, and the updates consistantly improve the game, unlike other EA games of this kind.
My hopes for this games future is more cutomization, to warrant having a marketplace that doesn't just consist of 3 overpriced gear pieces and a load of generic shirts and boots (Jacket for lyfe), more weapons and maybe even more maps, but we'll see.
Right now, I'd say the game easily an 8/10, for being a fun, tactical and sometimes even paranoia filled battle royale, that is easily the best of it's kind through content alone, and for being one of the most addictve 'Just One more rounds' games i've ever played.

YES:
Mount & Blade: Warband is ugly, bulky and cranky. The graphics were already outdated when the game came out. The menus can be are complete horror, e.g. if you visit a shop and want to compare the stats of an item for sale with an item in the posession of one of your companions you have to do the following: leave shop -> leave town -> open party menue -> start conversation with companion -> tell companion to show equipment. Now you can make a guess how many steps it takes to get back to the shop. Plus: The game leaves you pretty much alone when it comes to learning the basics on how to get your career running.
BUT:
Mount & Blade: Warband also is a massively huge medieval sandbox career and battle simulator with an almost endless amount of mods. You can play as a trader or a scoundrel, if you work hard and fight brave enough you can become a lord or even a king. You are able to recruit companions, hire mercenaries and level up soldiers. You can even pay a bard to praise your heroic deeds. Most interesting and rewarding are the 3rd person battles of course: mounting a full scale attack with 150 men on an adversary is absolutely priceless !!!
:Make sure to visit the mount and blade wiki on the internet to get a better understanding of the game mechanics.
Best Game ever!! Can't wait for Bannerlord!!!
