I've spent quite some time with "Rotwood" and honestly, the experience has been fantastic. It's important to recognize that the game is currently in Early Access. Many of the negative reviews could be more effectively communicated through the game's dedicated feedback system, which would help improve the game, rather than diminishing its reputation prematurely.

Multiplayer integration is seamless where you can have friends joining at any moment. Gameplay and controls are fast paced. Powers and upgrades are a bit unbalanced but the direction is good. Enemies and bosses are unique and challenging (loved the goofy wolf fight). Gameplay loop is not boring with increasing difficulty level. Though as of now there are only 4 weapon types, the combos, play styles and synergies between players (which you should definitely grab a friend for) more than make up for an Early Access title and maintains the learning curve easily manageable and enjoyable throughout the game.

Overall, well-worth the price tag even in the Early Access. My review would not change even if this was the full release.

Lovely game aesthetic with engaging gameplay and huge potential to become even more interesting in the future. I only hope that the game continues to grow and build upon its strong foundations.

For some odd reason I find killing players in this game EXTREMELY satisfying, but being bested my another player NOT frustrating (unless it is a very loooong death streak). Overall, I'd say it is a NET POSITIVE experience and from my "gaming career" it is rare to find a multiplayer fps title which doesn't leave your keyboard smashed to pieces :)

Hard

This game is all about frustration of starting over. Only then you overcome this frustration will you be able to move forward and become a better version of yourself. Every fail was worth it in the end :)
