Oh man. This is probably my favorite world to explore. Beautiful unique environments with amazing music, a lot of paths to choose from for progression, and plenty of extra challenges for the truly deranged to undertake. 10/10.

Against the Storm is a very satisfying but challenging city builder where no game is ever the same as the last. Drafting unique sets of buildings and unique missions (called deeds), while also having a random selection of 3 species (out of 6) that all have different needs, means you're playing a completely different experience each game.

I found myself not wanting to click the "Next Phase" button because I didn't want to do another night of combat. The music is fantastic, art and design is good, but you really need to LOVE the combat because you'll be doing it a LOT.

This is a hard review to write, because the game is deeper than I thought it was, but I didn't want it for that. I found myself going into a big battle thinking, "I don't feel like doing this." Great if you're a huge fan of the genre, but not for FFT fans.

Outer Wilds gave me feelings of joy and exploration I haven't felt in a game since the original Myst. Truly a masterpiece.
