Well, what can I say? This game has taken root in a very soft part of my heart, and I don't think I could name a flaw because of how in love I am with it.

But let me explain why this is going to be the best ~10$ you've ever spent.

Undertale is a very complex game under the mask of a simple graphic engine. I'm sure you have little clue what the hype is over an 8-bit style RPG. It all starts out simple enough, with a basic prologue of your story-to-be, and you'll find yourself in the ruins of an underground city, which also happens to be inhabited solely by monsters. You, as a human, are certainly an outcast in the whole enviroment and will find yourself to be the cause of much uproar amongst these citizens. Your goal is to find a way back home, back to the surface, and you'll be making the choices of how you do that along the way.

Your adventure sports a unique style of combat, in which you'll choose whether to fight at all or not, and you'll quickly find you have an additional, non-conforming option of "Mercy". This isn't always as easy as it seems, however, and you might need to put some thought into it before you can sway the heart of your opponent. Defeating them will also take some skill, mind you, as you'll need to dart your way through their attacks before landing your own hits. The combat manages to stay fun and challenging, and will progressively and steadily become more difficult as you make your way through the game.

Of course, during your journey you'll meet characters with well developed personalities and dialogue to pull at your heart strings, as I'm sure they did mine. These characters can either be your greatest ally, or your foe, but all of that is up to you. Undertale does an amazing job with all of it's individual personalities and you're sure to at least take a liking to the residents, if you don't completely fall in love with them. Their perfectly placed and diverse humor, caring nature (though sometimes not outwardly so!), and kind-heartedness had me overwhelmed, to say the least. The whole thing is so well-written it caught me completely off guard.

Oh, and the music! Don't even get me started on this fantastic game's catchy ass MUSIC. The perfection that is Undertale's soundtrack is absolutely legendary. It'll get you pumped up on those edge-of-your-seat, heated boss fights. It'll have you smiling and tapping a foot to the tune while strolling through the underground. And it will make you cry. It will make you cry so hard.
Undertale's music is a thing to behold, and I've found myself going back time and time again to listen to those heartwrenching, yet uplifting songs. They are truly amazing, and an absolute pleasure to listen to.

Undertale is a game that will leave you with something more. You'll feel you've gained something you didn't have before you started. I've played a lot of memorable games over my lifetime, but Undertale has so easily climbed its way to the top. If you're looking for a casual, relaxing game, and aren't ready to get emotionally invested, move on. This one isn't for you. As for the rest of you, well, what are you waiting for? Due to an overly cringey fanbase I'm sure you've heard horror stories about, I wouldn't recommend looking for fan-made content after finishing the game. You'll just have to tuck this one safely away in your memories, and it shouldn't be hard; This is not an experience you're likely to forget.
