Game developers much more interested in making cool animations vs. a good balanced game. Heavy weapons are broken, trade-offs in speed are a joke. And of course, toxic spammers. Yet the weapons that require a great deal of precision only keep getting nerfed.

I personally don't like other people deciding for me when it comes to if I like a game. I was hyped for this game from the start, but had to wait a while to get it for monetary reasons (I was broke). During my wait I saw the overwhelming mountain of bad reviews. Boring, poorly made, overall badly executed compared to it's amazing potential. You could bet I read every article slamming No Man's Sky, heard every friend bag on it, majority of them never having played it themselves. But in light of these disheartening reviews, I said "screw it," bought it anyways. So far I have around 17 hours, more than likely I'll pile many more on top of that.

I've warped to around 15 different systems, met 30 aliens, scanned tons of animals, and even more plants. I'm yet to understand how this game is anymore repetitive than any game with an array of 15 maps, a single campaign, or even a game like minecraft. I'll admit that this game probably shouldn't be played 24/7, if then yeah, anything would get boring.

I tried not to make it sound like an essay or life story, probably failed. What can I say, it's how I write.

TL:DR If you want this game for the sake of adventure and exploring, try it, don't let all the haters turn you off it. They're just boring.
