TL;DR: Cute and fun game with interesting classes and loads of content. Perfect for both casual and active players. Can be played solo or multiplayer. 10/10 highly recommend.

---This game truly has TONS of stuff for you to do from the start. Quests, crafting, skills to level (like fishing, mining, bug catching etc.), achievements, daily and weekly events, dungeons etc. etc.
---New content is also added to the game throughout the year so you never run out of stuff to do.
---Like any other game there's also a gem shop with both skins and creature comforts that helps for game progression. HOWEVER, you don't have to spend a single cent of real money to get gems, since you can get them simply by playing the game (you can easily find the drop source/rate on the wiki).
---There's also a dedicated discord server for the game that's worth checking out.

Since i decided to go from standalone launcher to steam, i figured i'd write a review here.
TL;DR: It's a great game, actually f2p, packed full of content and has a very friendly and helpful community.

I've been playing Fashion Wars--i mean Guild Wars, since the very beginning waaaay back when ( total 1968 hours, over the past 4311days on OG launcher).

Character development is great, funny, fleshed out and unfolds as you progress in the game.

The race/class selections are pretty much the standards. However, the sub-classes are interesting and you will find a class+subclass combo that is perfect for you, no matter what your play style is.

There's events, world bosses, mounts, dungeons, instances, jumping puzzles, speedraces, crafting etc. etc.
There's even a designated PvP and WvW map!

This game is genuinly f2p. No p2w nonsense!
You don't have to shell out loads of IRL money to get stuff in the gem shop (the stuff in the gem shop is pretty much creature comforts and skins). Just play the game, use the marketplace wisely, then use the currency conversion to turn in-game currency to gems!
Nice, right?

The community is second to none. Friendly, welcoming, helpful and fun to hang out with.
I got a lot of friends through both GW1 and GW2 over the years.
The community is just as wonderful today as it was way back when. -and that's saying something !

For me GW is the type of game you fall in love with, play A LOT, and always return home to when other new shiny games eventually get boring.

A beautiful game with beautiful music. Easy to get into the mechanics of it too. Best part, imo, is meeting other players along the way. If you want a chill game to play, i'd say get this one :)

This game has been hyped up a lot, and for good reason ! Do you think it's eerie and creepy watching others play on YouTube or Twitch ? Yeah, amp that feeling up an insane amount and that's what it's like actually playing it yourself. It's a challenging game with countless ways to play it, Also, playing with others makes it hilarious as well ! 10/10 !

Really relaxing game, with plenty of stuff to do. Just wish the research table was more helpful telling you where/how to get the various mats.
oh, and might just be i'm a ♥♥♥♥ rafter, but trying to go towards a location on the radar is suuuuch an infuriating nightmare...so i've pretty much just given up on that. XD
I've recommended this game to my friends and played with them as well as solo, and i'm really enjoying playing this ! Just hope the next "chapter" comes out soon... :)
