I saw this game from a stream and I love boss-fighting games, so i decided to grab it. Let me just say that I dont have a controller so i only played with keyboard and mouse, but that for the short window it was playable I really enjoyed playing it and it was my type of game for sure. BUT DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE A LAPTOP! i looked around and saw a few others with simmilar problems.

Instantly when I started I had to turn the graphics to 'fast' mode becauese already i was getting sub-30 fps. (I have never run into another game on this system that didnt run 60(+) fps on the highest graphics with every extra touch including games like Dark Souls 3, Just Cause 3, and Witcher 3) I thought "oh well it might just have some crazy graphics on it." a minute later into the first fight i realized one of the biggest problems with the game, there is a downright delay in frames from when you press the 'dodge' key, and when the animation and I-frames actually start. not too big of a problem if you've got high fps though because it will seem much shorter. "Well thats annoying, but i can deal with it," i thought at the time.

I was wrong.

The third fight is where i am currently stuck at. in the 2nd phase my fps drops down to single digits during the bullet hell portion, and remember when i figured out about the frame delay on the dodge? well with this i basically have to decide im dodging 2-3 seconds before i actually get any I-frames. which means lots of cheaply getting hit before i can even react, while the entire game lags to hell. then the lag also affects parries which is also needed to survive that fight.

I might end up going back to it sometime and see if I can pass that God-awful fight for possibly more decent gameplay but for now I'm done
Edit: i tried again and am done, I'm getting a refund. The entire fight is bull and its even more impossible with the fact that the fight requires reaction dodging and parrying, which isn't possible because both are on a delay, expecially the dodge. Really sucks that a great game with so much good posibillty is ruined by a few horrible mistakes.

I havn't tried it with a controller and hopefully it works much better with it, but if you ask me, charging $25s for a game without making one of the two control scemes viable to play seems a little stupid, but take my word, PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK WITHOUT A CONTROLER, EXPECIALLY ON A LAPTOP.
