Armikrog plays out a very sweet, heartwarming story. It's definitely reminiscent of The Neverhood, but stands as it's own game. The puzzles are far simpler, the time to complete is much shorter, and the ambiance is more cute than creepy. It has wonderful visuals, equally strange music, and instantly loveable characters that do more than just feed nostalgic feelings.

The game mechanics in Armikrog are easy to learn and are refreshingly different from The Neverhood. Rather than contolling just one character, the player switches between Tommy and Beak-Beak, each having a unique ability to solve puzzles.

If you're looking for a sequal to The Neverhood that lives up to it's legacy, this is not it. But if you want to play a game with a familiar style that leaves you with pleasant feelings, Armikrog is a good choice.
