This game, is in my opinion.. A near perfect extraction shooter.

I might type out something more detailed later, but it's a perfect mix of casual & hardcore. I'm so genuinely stunned that this game ran so well, and looked so good graphically on day #1 with barely any issues at all. I'm stunned at how much genuine fun I've had for days of playing, and still riding that high. It's been so long since I've been able to play a video game this much, and not feel completely bored after the first day or so.

This game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Please, do yourself a favor, get a three-man squad together, and go top side so you can experience the same. You'll probably die a lot, but that's okay, don't let it keep you down, don't be a hoarder.

My only major concern now, is that this is by the same people who made The Finals, and that game has a serious issue with people cheating. I'm really, really hoping that they have a solid game plan to deal with cheating in this game, I haven't seen much of it yet, but I'm sure it'll get worse as time goes on.

So far I'm having a lot of fun with the game, the boss fights feel very well designed, and they're probably my favorite part of the whole experience. I personally don't agree with a few of the designs that either just flat out don't respect the players time (Like the resource system for tools, especially for tools with reserve), or feel like they're intentionally put in for the sake of frustrating the player. If you get easily frustrated with precise platforming, you might find yourself being more frustrated than actually having fun with the game.

That's pretty much where I'm at right now. I don't really care too much for precise platforming, I just don't find it fun, so I'm not really able to enjoy the game as much as I feel like other people could. I'm trying to power through it because I find the boss fights so much more enjoyable than the platforming, and I really want to see where it goes for myself.. Unfortunately it's just overall a frustrating experience for me so far. I don't play platforming games very much, and I don't claim to be good at platforming.

With all that being said, the artwork for the game is just gorgeous, the sound design is incredibly well done, and the price is lower than I originally expected for a game of this size. Do I think it's worth checking out? Yeah absolutely. I think it'd be very unfair to give the game a negative review just because I'm not having as much fun with it when the positives far outweigh the negatives.

I do have concerns for newer players who don't play video games as much, especially because this game lures you into a false sense of security by giving you areas that aren't that bad at all, but then you've got pretty significant difficulty curves with mechanics that feel like they're made to intentionally frustrate you on top of that.. I wouldn't trust someone without much gaming experience to actually enjoy this game in it's current state.
