I just completed my play-through after 65 hours and yes, I recommend this game to any Dragon Age fans. Now, let me explain why.

Firstly, the game is absolutely gorgeous and really brings to life the different environments and locations of northern Thedas, it's probably the very first thing that one notices once the game starts.

Secondly, the main story line, as a continuation of the overall Dragon Age story, is absolutely incredible. There were points when I did not want to stop playing because I was so invested in the main story. If you play the game for no other reason, or even if you hate some other parts of the game, I highly recommend playing through your dislike so that you can experience the twists and turns of the amazing plot.

Please note that I am specifying the main story line and not necessarily all of the side stories (i.e. your companion's stories, the side quest arcs, etc.). I do this because, though I actually liked all of the companions in this game, in most RPGs I have played, there is usually at least one companion character who really doesn't interest me or whom I straight up dislike and I have no doubt most others are similar to myself in that regard. And that brings me to my third point ...

I enjoyed the companion characters as well as the opportunity to re-acquaint myself with a few favorites from previous Dragon Age games. This was extremely well-done without relying on nostalgia to make it work and I applaud the writers for managing it so well.

Those are my primary selling points. Yes, there were some things that I found ... slightly irritating, or that I felt could have been bypassed or which didn't need to be included in the game. Yes, I really do prefer turn-based RPGs like Dragon Age: Origins as opposed to ARPGs like DA:Inquisition or Veilguard; however, I still very much enjoyed this game and fully intend to play through it again in the future.

Good Gaming!

Baldur's Gate 3 lives up to its name and legacy - major points to Larian Studios which has created such an incredibly successful game. I hope BG3 receives the love and recognition it deserves and maybe, just maybe, become Game of the Year 2023.

This is an excellent RPG with an incredibly gripping story and characters who draw you in and make you care about what is happening with/to them.

Pay attention to the side quests and gigs, don't just concentrate on the main story line - you will enjoy the game more if you do.

I have only come across minor bugs/glitches, nothing that took much away from the immersion and nothing game-wrecking (so far, I have over thirty hours in at the time of this review).

I do wish that there were more and more meaningful/impactful customization options in both the character creator as well as in the game play; however, what is present is at least fun.

itemization is alright, nothing spectacular, but when you DO find a really good item or are able to craft one then the excitement is very real.

I definitely recommend the game for RPG and Cyberpunk lovers.

I owned a copy of this game many years ago and spent countless hours in it ... the graphics are, of course, quite old and nothing like what is expected of newer games, but they're still quite eye-catching. The real award that this game gets is the storyline - it's completely unique. Add to that a number of very cool characters and a couple interesting races with numerous class combinations and I have no doubt the game will grab and hold the attention of any serious RPG player. Check it out!
