Birth is a fun simple puzzle game that leans hard on its visual appeal to set it apart from other games in this space. I enjoyed this as an easy game to relax to and enjoy the vibe. There isn't a ton of story, length (3 hrs or so) nor is there much of a challenge in terms of the puzzles but the word is fun to be in and interact with. If you're looking for something to challenge you, this isn't it, but if you've been drawn in by the visuals then you'll enjoy the stay.

Beacon pines hits all the right notes. The art, characters, animations, and story all delivered and kept me engaged the entire time. The pace moves quickly and I never felt like I was wasting time wandering around looking for things to do or secrets to find which makes it the perfect rainy weekend or long plane trip game.

Don't starve + Animal crossing + Hades (light)

I can't recommend this game enough, it provides enough challenge for seasoned rogue like players to enjoy while giving others who may not enjoy the combat aspect ways to level themselves up to progress without the game feeling stale. You can choose where to put your time and it never feels wasted be it taking care of your cult or going on crusades. Thankfully I've encountered few (if any bugs) although I can't seem to conduct a funeral, but that means I just murder the elderly in their sleep ;)

I was lucky enough to come across this game when it was part of the PAX10. After a quick chat with the developers I bought it and played it that night and was instantly hooked. Years later I still come back to it.

It is hard to describe what makes this game so great other than it is beautifully crafted, has an excellent soundtrack and the writing is top notch. Many games have that. This game has love and the respect for the games that came before it and that makes it stand out among the rest. It feels real, it hits home and in a way I feel almost a part of it. I haven't had a game blow me away since Undertale, and the mother series before that. This has now solidified itself in a lineage of masterpieces
