This game has scratched my itch for a havest moon/stardew valley like game with a more fleshed out combat system. I see some people have bug issues, I have had none and have played the entire time with over 10 mods on. I'm only 10 hours in but i'm not sure how people are saying the game isn't complete. There are multiple hub areas, story quests, daily missions, romance, skill trees, and more. I've got more enjoyment out of 10 hours of this game than a majority of stardew like games I have tried.

I spent too much of my first hour with the game just running and not being engaged. Capturing monsters was extremely easy. This game has some good systems, but seems like the procedural generation can ruin the game completely. The first 2 islands I traveled to had 1 mob combined. The first dungeon on the moonstone island did show promise, but I don't want to just run around doing nothing most of the time for the occasional good battle. Seems like this game would be a pretty easy recommend with a more planned classic story route like pokemon or stardew, but the procedural generation can cause huge gaps in between the fun parts that can kill the enjoyment. If you like similar games and didn't mind the emptiness of Breathe of the Wild on Switch, this game might be for you. It isn't for me tho.

Best RPG ever until the next best RPG ever comes out

It's not good. The quests are wack, especially the ones that consist of picking the right dialogue option repeatedly. The tems evolving based off the level you catch them and not a set level can't be fun for anyone except people who love grinding games like these for thousands of hours. Fighting npcs is wack in that most combats are balanced around your opponent having tems 5-20 levels higher than you but only having 1-3 tems, it makes it more slog while still not being challenging. I was looking forward to mounts but you don't get it until you beat the game, what's even the point. This game needs to rip fly straight from pokemon. having to run through the entire area after you've completed something is a needless slog. If you are the type of person who likes spending hundreds-thousands of hours in a monster training game, this one could be for you. Everyone else, wouldn't bother, maybe if it was under 30 bucks, maybe
