(by no means the game is perfect but still it is the best modern FPS even after almost a decade)

Everything has started from MAX PAYNE!

It offers an experience analogous to TOOL's '10,000 Days' album
While it contains heavy themes of depression and self-injurious ideation, but beneath them lies a profoundly deep and psychological experience.

I hate the thought that someday this game might only be remembered as 'that 2D platformer released just a week before Silksong.'
Everything's great, the art, the music, the combat, level design, pacing, platforming, the exploration, and You might just not realize that but I'm certain that if you just give it a try, you'll fall in love with it. It's just Perfect and Flawless game that good's as much as Super Mario Wonder and Celeste and a great successor to SEGA MegaDrive's Shinobi 3 and Shadow Dancer

If this is your first encounter with the Metal Gear series, it's a good game. If it's your entry point into Kojima's works, it's also a good game. Otherwise, if you've played the classic version and can return to it, or if you're familiar with Kojima's direction elements and components, you'll still enjoy it 'cause it is a good game! But there's something that keeps nagging at you.


Personally, among the first four Metal Gear games, I have the least interest in 3 (in order: 1-2-4-3). But if I were to revisit Snake Eater, I'd probably rather to go back to the classic version and emulators since I don't mind some clunky mechanics. Still, I repeat... "it's a good game" and I'm glad it's exist after waiting like a decade but I rather get remakes like Resident Evil 2. adding some additional content -and maybe fixing issues of the old one without corrupting the base harmony.


Performance-wise, there are some issues to fix and some frame drops. I was capable of getting an stable 30 FPS With a RTX 2060,

the late stage bosses are almost easy and you literally can spam jump/parry and tada! avoid most enemies and fight chunk
but level design, art and core gameplay is so good and if you familiar with the lore there is much to enjoy
